Target is my go-to for all of a lot of my household purchases. Every time I have been in, the store…read moreis clean and most of the employees are very friendly. Not a bunch of screaming kids like the other big store across the street. I was surprised last time when I supplied my own bags at checkout the checker scanned all of my items but I had to bag my own things. I'm not sure if that is the norm or if just the way she did things but that's something to be aware of because not everyone wants to bag their own items or can bag their own items. I will say that since their last major remodel I don't think they carry as many items or they may carry more brands but less of each item within that brand. The first time I noticed this was in the hair color aisle, they had several brands but the one I was looking at was missing the entire blonde selections. That was something they carried before the remodel. I will take that with a grain of salt though because there are supply issues still happening but I would think that they would have something after all this time. I highly suggest that everyone download the Target app because if you do want to take the time to add offers you can save quite a bit of money. I wish they would work like some supermarket royalty cards where each week the discounts were just loaded in automatically and if you bought that product you would get the cash back Instead of having to choose the offer and add it to your barcode before you buy. Sometimes scanning the barcodes of every item before you put them in the cart is just taking too much time and if you haven't planned ahead you may not have all of the discounts available loaded onto your app already but again if you can take a few minutes to load the offers in before or during your shopping it really adds up. Curbside pick up is also a plus and it seems to be very popular. Sometimes I think the people out there working are working harder than most of the inside employees. Maybe it just seems that way because I feel sorry for them being out there in this heat but they have always been very pleasant and efficient to work with and I do appreciate that they have this service available. I did rate four stars because of the availability of some of the things in the store not being what they should be and I have had a couple of times where produce such as the bagged salads weren't the freshest, but this will continue to be my favorite store of this type.

What happened? Target used to be 10 times better than Walmart across the street, now the only…read moredifference is Walmart is still a pigsty, but at least they have products available and cashiers. This Target has never had more than 2 checkers in my latest 3 visits in a year. They want to force customers to the automatic machines. Sorry guys, I will NEVER use those things until you start paying me employees wages. Their stock has changed and is below the grade it used to be. They have maybe 10 employees in the whole store. Target originally was a decent store for their product range. No more. Another store selling out to the billionaires I suppose.

I selected an item to purchase, but it did not have a price tag. The associate immediately said, "I…read morecan't sell it," and set the item aside without offering any options or attempting to help. When I mentioned there were many identical items in the back that likely had tags, he did not respond or move--he simply left the item sitting off to the side. Since no solution was offered, I went to the back myself, found the same item with a price tag, and brought it to the register. At that point, the associate told me he had taken my original item to the back to be re-priced--without telling me, and without asking whether I still wanted it. There was no communication, no attempt to problem-solve, and no basic customer service. This could have been resolved easily if the associate had offered to retrieve a tagged item or involve someone who could. Instead, I was left to solve the issue myself after being ignored. Very frustrating experience.

It's amazing what a rarity good service and a quality selection can do for a shop. I was in town for the weekend looking for shorts. It's not necessarily the season to buy shorts so I wasn't expecting much, and after coding three other stores I'd pretty much given up hope. Well, I should have come here first. The three gals working here greeted me right away and asked if I needed help. Half of the men's side of the store was devoted to the very thing I was looking for. I found multiple options - all on sale - in my size and was in and out in no time. Sometimes the simplest experiences are the most satisfactory. O'Neil may technically be a surf shop, but I'll be returning whenever I need casual, quality clothing for any occasion.
