Last March I was throwing a surprise birthday party for my mom (50th!) and was having a hard time…read morefinding a DJ, especially one I could afford. An old college friend recommended I try Griffin Wing because she knew one of the DJ's and thought I could probably get a good deal. It turned out FABULOUS! The party was Disco themed and the DJ brought hours and hours of classics. He had a set prepared but was also eager to take requests - no monstrous ego to deal with. He even helped us with the 'surprise' part by playing my mom's favorite Elton John song right on que. There were dance lights all over the place, including a disco light which was perfect for our theme, and the speakers were bigger than I am. Their website says they do photography and videos too, but we didn't ask for anything other than great music. It was 50.00 an hour including set up and breakdown and I think we tipped an extra hour just for such great service - and bought the guy a few drinks of course! I would totally recommend anyone in the Piedmont area give these guys a call if you're pricing music for a party.

I had very specific requirements for my website, such as needing it to be dual language, playful, inclusive and highly engaging for a wide audience. I had a great experience working with Carol! I contacted her by email and she replied the same day…read moreso that we could talk on the phone and look at examples of her work. She asked me questions about the type of website I needed to build and the type of features I would need. She understood my budget and made several great recommendations, and at no time did she try to up-sell me on features I did not need or want. Once we settled on a design, Carol got to work right away migrating the content from the old website and adding in new images. Throughout the process, Carol was easy to work with and made changes and additions until the website was ready to go. She continued asking me questions and made suggestions about design and content until we were both satisfied. She also provided some basic training for the Wordpress admin functions. The old website was hard to navigate and looked pretty bleak. With Carol's design skills, the new one looks truly fantastic. It can also be easily viewed on a smartphone or mobile device, so it just feels more modern. All in all, Carol completed the site quickly and beautifully. I hope that I have another web or graphic design project so that I can hire here again!
