If I could give more stars I would!! I was looking at multiple places to take some old family video tapes to have converted into digital files. I emailed with them a lot of questions. Similar to another reviewer, I had five very old VHSs that I had held on to for many years with no idea what was on them. My mother died when I was a kid suddenly in an accident 13 years ago and my Hope was that maybe I could see her on one of them. I got so much more than I could have imagined; her voice and seeing her in action again was so heartwarming. I got closure I never knew I needed and was able to provide the same to my siblings. This service is so valuable. 621 did such a great job digitizing these tapes for me. During a recent, personal undertaking of transferring several home movie VHS tapes, 9 mm films, slides, and 3.5 inch floppy media to digital format; I ran into the issue of not having the correct devices required. I took to the web and Google searched for small businesses with good ratings for help. I am satisfied with the end product and the owners are very pleasant with which to work. We had a miscommunication on how this industry prices the DVD duplication fees but the confusion was easily and quickly rectified within one business day. In short, DVDs are priced on an individual basis. For example if your job creates 3 DVDs and you want 3 complete copies you need to ask for 9 copies. Peter was very nice to work with and I would go back for future jobs. I found Peter eager to be sure his customers are satisfied. I found 53 boxes and multiple notebooks of family slides, videos and audio tapes during my sorting through my parents' house after they died. My siblings and I had never seen or heard any of these precious records of our family life. I researched on the web and almost shipped things away to have them digitized. I am so glad I didn't. 621 Productions created a 57 minute video of me doing a Civil War presentation with my PowerPoint slides. I had given this presentation several times in the past. I do the presentation in costume and in first person. If it were not for errors on my part and if I had taken a few acting lessons I believe this video would look like something on PBS. 621 Productions did another 47 minute video of me presenting some of my Civil War research with my PowerPoint slides. As with the first this production exceeded all of my expectations. 621 Productions improved a 10 minute video of Civil War pictures set to music that I created. Jack turned my "Amateur Hour" work into a polished, professional presentation. My first video required five edit sessions due to my errors. Jack was able to seamlessly replace spoken words and slides to correct my errors. I am looking forward to my next project with 621 Productions. If I could, I would give this place a million stars. Memories are obviously so important to all of us, but we usually record them on formats that can corrupt over time and let's be honest, sit in the back of a closet for ages. It's been seven years since my dad died and I am in the process of moving. I unearthed nine precious video 8 tapes having no clue what was on them besides some odd labels my dad had scribbled on them. I could only afford to convert 4 right now and it was worth every single penny. One of the tapes dated back to July 1992 when I was 4! I could not believe they were able to get anything off the tape (it's 23 years old!) but what they got (which was a day at the beach) made me happy/sad cry for the entire video. I finally have video footage of me and my dad and can hear his voice! The DVD quality is GREAT and so straightforward (you pop it into your DVD player and hit play... No crazy menu-submenu-chapter menu to try to get to your memories). I have made it through watching two of the DVDs, am so pumped to watch the other 2 and cannot wait to have the money to do the other 5 tapes. It is so hard trusting someone with your one copy of your media that holds precious memories, but this place handled everything wonderfully and I cannot recommend them enough!!!! An extra note, I dropped my items off and was given a day they were supposed to be completed by; this place called me 4 days before my DVDs were supposed to be finished to let me know they were already done! read more
