We purchased a Ghost Tour of Marshall. Our guide, Nancy, was simply amazing! She greeted us and gave us the full 90 minute walking tour, complete with town history, architecture discussion, and of course, ghost/spirit highlights! It was just the 3 of us walking through Marshall on a weeknight and she gave us her full attention. She was the best tour guide we could have hoped for! The Marshall Carriage Company and Ghost Tours offers historical carriage tours and both carriage and walking ghost tours. Ghost tours are usually 90 minutes long for either the carriage or the walking tour. The carriage tour cost $45.00 per adult with the carriage traveling through the downtown area giving a running history of Marshall with several ghost stories and then travels south to Oakridge Cemetery with several cemetery stories before traveling north with several more stories on the north side of town. The walking tour is cost $15.00 and covers 2 miles; including the downtown area and then turning north and touring the northern part of town with several stories. There are several restaurants nearby if your wish to eat before a tour or after (several are haunted but you ask the guide about those ghosts) or you can dine on the carriage. Remember to take a camera (other than your cell phone) as this is one of the few tours where you will get orbs and if you are lucky a spirit. Tours are offered all year with tour times at 6, 8 and 10 pm. Reservation are highly recommended. Most active times for paranormal activities are around the full moons/new moon phases. This October 31st will be a full moon - higher activity will be between October 27th and November 2nd. read more
