He was anxious to get on with is Friday and leave for the day, since it was only a half day! He did a quick routine procedure to relieve the pain in the tooth that was causing severe pain by now. I got lucky by going to another dentist on Monday. That confirmed the damage that had been done by Larry Howell! I went online yesterday and made the appointment for 8 AM this morning. Then someone called back…read moreand asked me some questions and told me to be there a half an hour early so I can fill out the paperwork. I got there at 7:30 my appointment was at eight and they did not open until eight. Finally got in had to fill out all the paperwork by then it was almost 830. Finally got taken back. I went in for a cleaning and I have never been there before. They took like 50 x-rays. After all the x-rays were done, they took me into a room and a lady came in who told me that she was gonna clean my teeth after she got done looking in my mouth and telling the other person a bunch of numbers. She said that I needed to have the special prescription toothpaste that cost $21 and she would put it in my chart and that I needed to have a cancer screening and she would put that in my chart as well. Then dentist came in had a very quick look in my mouth said I look good except Have three caps in my mouth that I need to do Crowns on because they will break and she put that in my chart. Mind you I've had these caps for 20+ years and I haven't had any issues with them. Then the cleaning lady came back told me that I was gonna go see this other lady and they would tell me exactly what was going on. The other lady came and took me to her office. I am guessing that she was the finance side. She proceeded to tell me everything that they were going to do to me. I was getting a tube of toothpaste, hey cancer screening and three caps. My insurance would cover this much and I had to pay the rest. I told her I didn't need anything except the cleaning and she took me down the hall to sit in a waiting room for my cleaning. Then I got called in for the cleaning. The lady was nice enough. Although I'm sure the cleaning only took five minutes max. And when she was done she put the stuff on my teeth Saying that it was fluoride that would stay on there and be fine I wouldn't have to wait to eat or drink all all. Thing is my teeth felt dirty or whenever I left and I did before I went in. It was all just the weirdest thing because I have always had my teeth cleaned every six months and they have always cleaned my teeth before the Dentist looked at them. And the dentist usually talks to the patient and let them know exactly what's going on and tells them if they have some issues and what you can do about it and what your options are and whether or not it's covered by insurance. This was more of a Wham! Bam! Thank you ma'am scenario. This all just felt so fake and monetary to me. Not like they really cared about the patient at all. I will likely go back for the second cleaning in six months But forgo the fluoride stuff at the end. The next year I'll probably go somewhere else.

Eight months ago, I attended an appointment for tooth pain resulting from previous work done at this Enterprise Aspen Dental location. After being put on antibiotics, I arrived for my two-week follow-up at 5:00 PM, only to be told there was a two-hour delay. Because of the extreme wait, I chose to leave, and I immediately called to leave a detailed voicemail explaining the situation and asking to reschedule. I never received a follow-up call. Now, eight months later, the exact same tooth is causing severe pain. When I called today to explain my situation, I was placed on hold, only for an employee to get on the line and tell me no appointments were available. Worse yet, she defensively brought up the situation from eight months ago, using an accusatory tone as if I had wrongfully walked out of my appointment, rather than leaving due to their massive delay. It was only after I called out her tone that she miraculously became approachable. Aspen Dental heavily markets that walk-ins are welcome, they will do everything to get to "yes," and they make space for emergency cases. None of that has been true in my experience. Today, I have a legitimate dental emergency, but "no appointments means no appointments," completely contradicting their own rhetoric. If you can manage to get through the gauntlet of incompetence and poor attitude in the reception area, the clinical staff might actually treat you. But based on this experience, I will never cross the threshold of this dental office again. Customer service, administrative competence, and actually honoring marketing promises need to become immediate priorities for this location.

I brought my daughter in for a cleaning - that went very well. The hygienist was friendly and made her comfortable. However, when she came back on a school day for dental work, Chancey himself was impatient and walked off after about 30 seconds of my (5 year old) daughter displaying nervousness. Absolute waste of our time and horrible disposition for a dentist. He shouldn't take patients that are small children if he can't deal with them. Still, I figured his inability to deal with children didn't make him a bad dentist for grown ups, right? Unlike the other reviewer, I didn't have any issues with the hygienists - but they may not even be the same people as before. Chancey also did some work in my mouth (a cavity in an upper canine) and I suffered from nerve damage afterward. Couldn't smile on one side of my face for weeks. Extreme pain after the procedure. He did not warn me about how he would be working through my gums so this damage was a huge surprise. Everything was a surprise and "take some tylenol" was the least helpful follow up response I have ever gotten on anything. After all of that, the work was never smooth - it wasn't buffed/polished properly but I was too scared to ever go back into that office to get it fixed. My mother STILL went to him and she has since found a new dentist, since his work on her turned out to be shoddy as well and did not stand the test of time. I begun taking my daughter to a pediatric dentist in Dothan and personally am still scared of dental work. ugh. I admit it has been a while but I still really wouldn't recommend this dentist.
