My grandmother's car was towed from her apartment complex between the hours of 10 PM and 2 AM by this company. The car was registered with the apartment complex and was parked in an appropriate spot there. This tow company is run by scammers. They tow your car, and then do not allow you to pick it up for two days and charge you for the two days that they are not open and that you physically cannot even pick your car up if you want to. And they absolutely did not verify with the apartment complex regarding this, because nobody was working at the apartment complex at those hours. And if they had, they would've found out that the vehicle was registered and was parked appropriately. I don't know why I got a text saying my job was complete because they took my car a few YEARS ago. I don't know why I never reviewed this place. they deserve no stars but it's not An option. But whatever you do DO NOT USE MARS TOWING. DON'T let them tow your car! DON'T let them look at your car! DON'T let them fix your car! DON'T let them "store" your car. I had my car worked on there it was a Subaru that the previous owner took really great care of I had all the records and everything. Even the oil was changed every time it was suppposed to. They said the transmission was bad so they put a used one in. A few months later my engine blew. Covid was just beginning and I didn't have all the money to replace the engine completely and it would have completely cleaned me out. I had two little girls and I'm a single mom. I kept asking them if it would be ok for Awhile if I did replace it. I didn't know what to do. They said they didn't know. I mean you are a mechanic how do you not know?!?!? I'm asking your advice. I was hoping I would have enough money. But they never gave me the chance. I was forced to sign my car over to them because of "storage fees". They were actually going to try to make me pay them to get my stuff out of the car. I think they screwed the car up when they replaced the transmission. I wish more than anything that I had never taken the car there. I've heard a Lot of bad stuff about them since. This was a nightmare for me back in July think it was 22nd 2022 I am towing a fifth wheel and I'd gone up to Maine with our riding Buddies but while up there my wife took very ill I told our friends I'm heading back to Florida and I started I got as far as Harrisburg and I had to call an ambulance to meet us to take her to the hospital he wasn't the same it was scary while the ambulance came the police came to and they told me I could park I think it was a parking lot down by McDonald's and I did to leave my fifth wheel and I locked it up I got a dually truck and even that just alone was hard to park at their Hospital I was there for a couple hours and got my wife situated now I had to go back and get my fifth wheel and take it to Hurst campground that's where I found a place to stay so I could offload it turn on the AC and put my dog in it dogs and go back and see how my wife's doing but before that happened when I got out of the hospital to go pick up my fifth wheel it was gone and the police were out there and I asked him that someone steal my fifth wheel and they said no they towed it off they had a family disturbance call and when they went to it Mars Towing took it and left so I told the police officer is there on the phone with Morris Towing I need to pick it up and take it to the RV park drop it off turn on AC so my dogs will be fine and come back and see what the situation is with my wife I asked the police why they're still on the phone I need to go they told me they're trying to get them not to charge me and I said well you told me I could park here so now I go to Mars Towing which is the other direction from Hershey and when I get there they want $1,000 for me to get my fifth wheel back finally they accept $600 and I told him it's on a credit card they told me no way finally they allowed me to put in my credit card you know I pull this thing all through the country $1,000 will get me a long ways camping in Towing this was totally unacceptable finally did agreed on $600 on my Visa I'm glad they did cuz if they didn't I probably still be in jail right now and I could not afford to do that the condition my wife was in and having two dogs I be lined at the Florida as soon as I could my wife spent the next 25 days in the hospital and she's never been the same that wasn't their fault but they sure were a pain in my a$$ read more

Car was towed due to illegal parking. There was a dog in the vehicle when it was towed. The driver was so rushed/poorly trained/incompetent that he did not notice the dog was in the vehicle. Called the office, but neither the driver nor office could confirm that the dog was in the car, let alone the state of the dog. When picking up the car, office manager stated that she knew the driver and he never would have towed the car if the dog was in it (however, that's exactly what he did). When the car was picked up, the dog was in the car. What if the dog had been a child? Two days after the car was towed, it broke down due to a burst coolant hose. The car had been running fine up to that point. Spoke with Scott Berger, office manager, who reviewed photos from the tow and claimed that he didn't see a dog. The dog was retrieved from the car in the MARS lot. Scott also reviewed video footage from the tow and stated that there was nothing out of the ordinary that occurred, and that MARS was not responsible for towing the car with the dog in it or any damage to the vehicle. Overall, a terrible experience for the customer and likely a traumatic one for the dog. read more

I only gave one star because zero stars isn't an option . Money hungry rude, and aggressive. While I was standing by my vehicle with it's flashers on in a fire lane, they towed me, ignored me and then hauled my car away. Given the option to unhook and charge a lesser few, I was ignored and almost run over by the tow truck driver. I was spoken to on the phone like a child who is stupid and just "needs to pay $200 CASH or else" said the office lady. Once I arrived at the office to get my vehicle back, I had the "joy" of interacting with two of the office ladies who could not inform me of what the breakdown of fees were, told me to look at the sign posted to the window. And after asking why the driver ignored me and did not unhook in the parking lot for a lesser fee, she said "spoke to the driver and he didn't see you" and its his word against mine. I explained it was convenient to not hear me and makes more money for MARS. I was called a whiney baby by an office lady and I was told to "just pay the $200 and get your car." Horrible place. Quite a racket making cash all day long. I'd like to know if they file taxes on all that cash business.i would steer clear from having them do auto work and inspection on your car as well, seem crooked. read more

They towed my car from an apartment complex. There were 28 open spots and no signage to say that I couldn't park there. I was visiting a friend from out of town for less than 24 hours. It took forever to track my car down and when I did the lady who answered the phone was not friendly. They charged me $265 CASH. They did not provide a receipt. The entire thing was extremely sketchy and poorly managed. If you're utilizing this company for anything, I strongly urge you to go somewhere else. Worst tow company ever. Told them on the phone before I came, that the car most likely won't start, as that was the only reason I left in the lot it was towed from after the lot's hours because I wasn't able to find someone to jump me. Tried paying to get the car back, and the tow back from my house altogether both on the phone before I got there, and also when I arrived at 4:45pm, and they wouldn't allow that. After trying to jump the car there, when we got back to the desk their clock in the office said 4:55, and the bill goes up for towing services after 5. The lady who was in the office printed up the second invoice for the tow back to my house. Her computer had 5:02 as a time, and therefore they charged me the after 5 rate. I asked if they would change this, because I had already said I'd need a tow back, and had already tried paying for it earlier, but was unable to because of them requiring cash. Because of needing cash, I needed to walk to a nearby bank ATM. This time it took me to go get that cash was probably 5 minutes right there, so to charge me an extra rate for 2 minutes considering everything is insane, especially since their clock said it was before 5. We recently took our car to Mid-Atlantic Auto Recovery Services (MARS) and will never ever go there again. We have been taking our cars there for many years and have even recommended them to a lot of people. We always felt that Pudge (their former mechanic) took care of us. I no longer have trust in the new one. Last week, my husband had to turn around from his trip to the beach because our car was overheating. The mechanic knew exactly what it was when my husband told him he had just fixed a slow leak. He put a funnel in the radiator and got the air out of the line. Between that, putting in more anti-freeze, and Danny taking it on a test run, it was about 45 minutes. He charged us $106!!!! He charged $18 per bottle of anti-freeze and $65 labor. The mechanic had me pay the bill when my husband was taking it out for the test drive. I can't help but think that he purposely had me pay it because he knew my husband would question it. I didn't say anything until he came back from his trip because I didn't want to ruin it for him. When my husband questioned the $65 charge, they said it was diagnostic, lol! Wow. read more
