That was the case for me when I needed storage while moving from Oakley down to Paso Robles. I'm still hoping it's only temporary as I slowly go through items that have been sitting in storage for years. Theatre Drive wasn't my first choice, purely because of its distance from where we live, but they had units available--which was an issue I encountered with storage facilities closer to home. I got a move-in special, signed the documents online, and stopped by to meet Brian, who gave me the keys to a 5x10 unit. It was just the right size for what we needed to store. Recently, I've been working with Olivia, who kindly helped me secure a second unit. I'm in the process of transitioning everything from my Oakley unit and some items in the garage to Paso. Overall, I've been pleased with the storage units. I did have one issue with the roll-up door, but Brian took care of it quickly. The facility is clean, secure, well-lit, and requires a code to access. While I'm hoping to eventually move out of both units at Theatre Drive, I'm glad to have had this option. A year ago I was moving from San Diego to Morro Bay and was only able to find a rental without a garage and wanted to keep my treasured items like my camping equipment, my Christmas and Halloween decorations, and my spa equipment as I was (and still am) considering getting back into massage and skincare but have taken a break from it a few years ago. I called Morro Secure Storage but all their units were occupied so I booked and prepaid for a month with another place nearby and then Jill from Morro Secure Storage called me the next day to tell me they just had a new availablilty of a unit. I got an even bigger unit for even less cost than at the other nearby place! Plus their facilities at Morro Secure Storage as the name says - is indeed secure, you have to type in a code to even get into an inner building that has all of the storage units. It is the cleanest newest and most Secure Storage unit I've ever rented! Plus they give you a discount if you prepay. I prepaid for a year and am so glad I did, I think it ended up being that I paid for 11 months and saved enough to almost get the last month of my 1 year rental free from what I recall. I needed to call throughout this last year several times for various questions and Jill always either answered the phone or returned my call within 10 minutes. She is professional, friendly, and overall just awesome. I don't know about you all, but other storage places I have rented from it seemed kind of shady and dirty and the people unning it were either grumpy and/or seemed like maybe they had done jail time lol. Anyway, I just wanted to give a two thumbs up to Morro Secure Storage, I highly recommend!

This family member had a unit in Los Osos that was charging well over twice as much for the same size unit! We luckily got a unit on the second floor, so the door to the unit is on the inside, and there's a service elevator to handle all the heavy lifting. This makes the moving and sorting much nicer than having to be out in the sun/wind/rain. Conveniently located, easy access, just a really wonderful experience! I have my own storage unit where I live in Arroyo Grande, but if I lived in Atascadero, I wouldn't hesitate to get a unit there! Thanks!

Ive had to have several units at Abbys (long story) & Abbys was great until ...... THEY WERE BOUGHT OUT BY THE EVIL, GREEDY, UBER CAPITALISTS CALLED "STORAGE PRO" SOMETIME IN 2021. The FORCED insurance really p*s**d me off plus they tacked on all kinds of other pointless fees AND then ... raised the rent by almost $20.00! That was just the 1st of MANY more excessive raises to come! I think my rent has been raised 5 times in just 2 or 3 years. Greedy Storage Pro just raised it again about 4 months ago. In 2020 I was paying a reasonable $134/month. NOW I'M PAYING $215/MONTH WITH NO PERKS! I'm on a tiny fixed income as it is, & to my horror in this Post COVID Greed Era I can no longer pay all my bills nor make ends meet. The unnecessary c*** pulled by Storage Pro is NOT helping!! My stay at Abbys was never meant to be permanent - but you know what they say about "making plans." I've tried to get a smaller unit at ABBYS for years. Now I want to get the h*** out of Storage Pro completely! Whats holding me back: 1. I suddenly got VERY sick in 2021 (cancer) & am now bedridden 80% of the time. So, I cant go there & start condensing things so I can move into a smaller unit at a more REASONABLY PRICED facility closer to where I live. 2. I guess I'll be stuck at that awful, greedy Storage Pro with 4 rent raises per year for the remainder of my life! They are just bleeding me dry & sucking the life right out of me! They…read moreNEVER mentioned you need insurance on the storage then 4 months later they send an email stating you have to have insurance by a certain date. If you don't comply they will charge you via their insurance which is around $13 a month. When you prove you have home owners insurance that covers the storage they raise your monthly amount of rent by $10 a month and when I questioned them about notifying me before raising my monthly rent they stated they sent me an email. Well I never recieved an email. My understanding is the facility is under new ownership or management. Not the way to treat people in a small town!!
