Had a set appt with Lana to obtained storage unit and 1 hour before my appt she suddenly calls to notify me the unit is no longer available. Not sure what kind of business they are running there but this is not the kind of business I recommend. Especially when you have taken time to make an appt. Made appt 3 days before to get 1 hour cancelation call and worst of all she was rude during the call. No customer etiquette. Reply to Rick R. This facility is very convenient. I have been renting there for 5 years. The rental fees are reasonable and the owners have raised fees but only in response to inflation not like another facility that has raised my fees 30% twice each time in the last 3 years. The manager, Lana is very friendly but professional. She is a problem solver and does a great job of taking care of any issues that may arise. It has always been a pleasure to work with her. This is by far the best mini storage that I've ever used. The place is heavily gated and protected and I felt very safe leaving my guitars and other stuff there. The manager Lana is as nice as she is pretty, and she made the process of moving in and moving out as pleasant as possible. Don't even waste your time looking at other places. read more

I have been renting a unit from River Road Mini Storage since around 1998 or 1999 I believe. I, of course, highly recommend renting a unit here. The customer service is great. They always call back if you leave a message and sometimes even if you don't. The very sweet lady in the office is very respectful and is always willing to answer a question or help with a concern. The units are spacious, the grounds are well kept and I have a sense of security leaving my things at this facility. My husband and I are looking for a small storage unit for a couple of boxes that we have. I called to get a quote on a unit and the conversation was going very well and the lady was very nice. Then I asked if by chance they offered any sort of military discount and this is where things went wrong. The lady on the phone told me that she does not offer any military discounts at this time which was fine with me. Then she went on to say that members of the military are terrible clients. That they leave things very messy and ruin it for everybody and just kept going on anon about how terrible they were. The only reason I asked if they offered military discounts was because well... My husband is part of the military. It would be one thing does just say no we don't offer military discounts but the fact that she had to go on a rant about how awful they were really irritated me. I thank her for her time but then at the end of the conversation I said and I don't appreciate you talking about the military members and bashing them. I then hung up she then proceeded to call me back and leave a very nasty voicemail about how my attitude was bad and that's exactly what she was talking about when she said they're terrible clients. Might I add that during this entire Conversation I was very nice I was very polite but is soon as she started saying how terrible they were I was very upset. She could've just stopped and said no we don't offer military discounts we don't need a reason why we don't want to hear your opinion. But saying the things that she was saying to the spouse of a military member upset me very much. And it's another problem that she had to then call me back and tell me how she felt again. read more
