They called me after the diagnosis and told me that my trucks #2 coil pack was literally falling apart (I just had a tune up exactly 1 year ago so these coil packs were new) she asked if I wanted them replace them or if I wanted to do it, I told her I would replace it myself and if I had anymore issues I would bring it back. I replaced the bad coil pack and my truck is back to running like new. The fuel issue was high pressure line. $1000 later the fluid issue became worse. After hearing what they did I replaced the master brake cylinder. Not more issue also checked to brake pads. All had half life left. Took vehicle to a real mechanic shop ford dealer and it was the power steering pump. ($200) diagnostic charge. This place was a SCAM Brakes are a serious issue and the treated it like a small thing with no care.

Last February (early 2025) I…read morehad several routine maintenance odds and ends performed and they seemed to do ok (albeit not exactly what I asked for) except on the serpentine belt replacement. Initially, they didn't even replace it even though I was charged for it. Didn't notice till I got home and checked under the hood and realized it still had old serpentine belt with cracked ribs. I brought it in the next business day, and they said new belt was on the part shelf, but they had missed it in the rush to get done before closing. The service manager told me that he would replace it himself to get me on my way quickly, which seemed great at the time. Come to find ~14 months later that it clearly had been routed wrong (one of the smooth idler pulleys had been grooved by belt ribs running across it, and the tensioner had been maxed out to make up the difference. I can't even believe it worked so long the way was (the flat side of belt had a large groove, worn down to the reinforcing threads, where it had been rubbing on part of the engine block), but in the end it cost me ~$1600.00 to have grooved idler pulley, maxed out tensioner pulley (that was stuck), and belt replaced by a shop that knew what they were doing. -2006 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4.0L

My car needed new front struts, a new thermostat, coolant flush and K&N air filter cleaning\recharge. I had originally taken it into Chrysler Karmart in Burlington and was quoted close to 1200$ for these repairs. When I found out that price, I immediately called an auto repair shop in Arlington. The quote there was better coming in around 800$. But then I called Canavan's Auto Repair and was quoted 575$. It ended up costing me a little more than that because of tax and also there was a 4% (around 22$) service fee for using a credit card. But I still feel like I got a great deal and it was less than half the price of the dealership! He was also more friendly and didn't make me feel stupid when I asked questions. James is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He explains things clearly and in a way that you can understand. I appreciate his fair prices and good customer service and I recommend his company. I will go back to him in the future when my car needs any type of work done to it.
