I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious and impeccably clean, and the lobby offers a cozy atmosphere with ample workspace. The attached coffee shop serving Starbucks is a major plus! My only minor issue was with housekeeping and towel service, which required multiple calls to the front desk. Great friendly people but one of those save the planet aka save their wallets hotels that has the air conditioner on a sensor and it continually shut off all day and night. I could not sleep comfortably. Also the shower hardly had any pressure. I was able to get an engineer up and the impression I got was they are well aware of it and echo the frustration of guests but their heads are tied to management's "green" aka cheap policies. It's a shame when a room is over $400/night plus $45/night valet and they play this game. I left after 1 night. I cannot consciously support hotels that nickel and dime at the expense of their customer's comfort. Additionally the M Lounge had hardly anything to snack on. No happy hour or food appetizers like every other M Lounge offers. And for breakfast it was fake / overcooked powdered looking eggs. Are you kidding me?! Use real eggs!!! Again, very nice staff and good location but between getting allergy free pillows and then flat pillows and then foam pillows and finally after a 4th try the correct feather pillows, and needing to request a shower head dirty filter be cleaned / fixed to provide adequate pressure and request the HVAC be put in maintenance mode, it is just not worth the stress. I choose premium Marriott hotels because I expect a consistent and comfortable experience but that was not the case here unfortunately due to the saving money games. read more

I'm local to DFW but wanted to stay one night because I was attending a concert at the AAC. Upon arriving I really appreciated that the hotel was easy to access and situated in the perfect location. I pulled up to valet and the young man was very welcoming. He even asked if I was attending the concert to which I said yes and we were able to quickly chat about a few artists we both enjoyed. He then directed me to the reception area and took care of my vehicle. Once I got to the reception desk to check in, I was again greeted with a warm welcome. I asked if any upgrades were available and was lucky a room was available on a higher floor with a pretty decent view. The hotel was very clean with friendly staff so far so I felt excited to unwind for a bit in my room. The room was very modern and up to date with everything I needed for my overnight stay. I hate that I didnt get to enjoy the gym or the pool but I can only imagine both were just as nice as the rest of the hotel. After the concert it was late and I needed a quick snack so I was happy to have access to the M Lounge where you could grab a cold drink or something light to grab and go. The other option was the late night room service but I was afraid I would fall asleep while waiting because I was soooo tired. As you'd imagine, the next morning I was well rested and my sleep was superb. On my way to check out, I grabbed a hot breakfast inside the M Lounge. The options were minimal but it was everything one could need for a quick and hot breakfast. I look forward to staying soon. The hotel staff all treated me with such care. read more

No Trump supporters. In fact, if you're a Trump supporter, I, feel as though they'll threaten you. ( I, at least felt threatened.) Isn't this why Trump won!? This hotel has a regular (not as a hotel guest), who sits at the bar, while his friend Jessica bartends. I'm pretty sure he doesn't pay for anything, but what I am sure of, is that he's allowed to berate my wife and I for our political views. We didn't invite his interaction-but, he felt as though it was necessary to harass us the entire time we (as paying Platinum hotel guests) sat at the bar. We were tolerant of this person's lunacy, and finally had enough and left. I said "This is why Trump won," which set off an angry response from the Front Desk lady. She used profanity, and left the Front Desk, and I felt threatened. It's my belief- the angry, unhinged Front Desk employee knew this lunatic, and was going to harass me further. I went to the elevator, and went to my room. My wife called the Front Desk and asked for the General Manager's name and contact information. She continued to argue with my wife (in a very low class manner) and refused to give us the name of the General Manager. This is far from over- and will be escalated to Marriott Corporate. All guests, regardless of their political beliefs, should be welcomed (and safe) in a Marriott property. Update: 2/3/2025 One of the Managers of this property, Eric Smith called my wife and refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing on behalf of his threatening employee. In fact, they admitted that Marriott employees went up to our room and listened to our private conversation. Isn't this an invasion of privacy? In fact, I believe this is an illegal act. But, Mr. Smith responded with "It's our hotel." So, I guess he thinks invading a guest's "right to privacy" is acceptable? Horrible Management, Front Desk employee, and a regular guest (not hotel guest) who Management allows to sit at the bar (drinks for free), and harasses guests. This matter is far from over, and we will vigorously go after this property with all avenues of a complaint process. read more

This was my first experience at this particular location, just not the brand. The valet service was awesome both night and day. The front desk experience could have been better. The agent whom had answered a call, never acknowledged my standing and waiting, eventually another agent came and assisted with my check-in and took the time explain the way hotel and area. It only takes a second to acknowledge a guest. Overall, the stay went well and my visit to the M club was very rewarding. I appreciate that the dishes prepared were vegan friendly. Nice property, feels new. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed in a junior suite. A corner room with nice views of the area. Long couch that was quite comfortable - a real couch, not a fold out sleeper like so many similar hotels rooms have. Separate small table with comfortable chair. Overall a spacious room. Bed and pillows comfortable, room could be nicely cool and dark. Lots of plugs everywhere, both sides of the bed and at the small desk under the TV. Prime and Netflix available on the TV. The TV was hard fixed to the wall, but there was just enough space (after some effort) to reach to the hdmi2 plug and make use of the TV's stream other devices feature. Separate dressing area with drawer and hanging space by the entry/ bathroom. Large bathroom with big walk in shower, although the water pressure was a bit puny. Decent counter space. We did dinner one night at the on site restaurant, Good Graces, and were pleasantly surprised at how good it was (separately reviewed). The Marriott club right by the lobby is large and was open and quiet on the weekend. Breakfasts there were ok, though the scrambled eggs were pretty industrial. Mini fridge. Ice machines only on a couple floors - ask, or you're unlikely to find. Overall a pleasant hotel in a convenient location. I'm certain we'll be back on future Dallas trips. read more

To start with, parking in the garage is $48 daily (after tax)!! Otherwise, you have to hunt for parking on the street. On the plus side, the room was clean and spacious with a modern and minimalist vibe. The TV remote was in a sealed plastic bag, which is something I have never seen before and hope to see more of. We went here for our anniversary and really enjoyed our stay. The room was very modern and clean. The beds were comfortable and they give you lots of soft pillows. I love soft pillows. We had a standard room which is not huge but the space is more than adequate and space is utilized efficiently. The bathroom is very attractive and clean. The shower is large with great water pressure. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only things I would note is that the entrance is tricky to find. We drove around the entire building before finding the entrance. You have to enter through the underground parking, give your car to valet (only option), and then take an elevator to the lobby. None of it is marked inside so we were lucky that someone was around to help. It's rather confusing if you don't know where to go. There is also a good deal of car racing in the streets but it stopped by 10:30pm or so. You would think that the hotels and businesses in the area would pool their influence and lobby Dallas Police to do something. Overall, however, we liked the hotel and experience very much. I can imagine us returning another time for a special occasion. read more

Why 4 stars? Because everything was nice and new but the thermostat didn't work. --- --- --- I was visiting the area to see a game at the new Texas Rangers stadium and was tempted to stay near the ballpark, but figured Dallas proper might be more ideal for other things to do and a quicker drive home to Houston the next morning. When I saw this brand new property, I decided to use one of my free nights I had saved up through my Bonvoy membership. As I touched on, everything on this entire property was sparklingly new. I'm not sure when it opened, but everything was so pristine, that if someone told me it had only been open for a week, I would have believed it. But one big gripe I have in any hotel, whether brand new or not, is the temperature control in the room. When I got settled in, I turned the fan on high and the temperature down, but nothing happened. I assumed it was going to kick in eventually, but it never did. I checked into my room late and left early the next morning, so I didn't have much time to call down and figure out why this was happening, but it was annoying as I was hot during the middle of the night. The next morning, the temperature was still set to what it was originally on when I walked in. It's so strange why this brand new thermostat was essentially just decoration. One other complaint that I actually just discovered while writing this review: I was billed $37.89 after the fact. It turns out, parking is $35 a night. That is incredibly excessive. This is Dallas, not Honolulu. While that late detail tempts me to downgrade to 3-stars, I will keep it where it's at because I would probably stay here again and look for alternative parking (and make sure my thermostat works before I go to bed). read more

Brand new and awesome! Love the modern design of this place, from the outside architecture to the room details. Airy, sleek, and clean. The backlit mirror and even on the bed frame made things look even nicer. Our room had tons of natural lighting with large pane windows. And the giant glass door showed were just dreamy after a run at Katy Trails, which is just a few minutes walk from the hotel! Really loved our room, as the bed and everything was so comfy and clean :) For convenience, there is a bar/restaurant as well as Starbucks in the lobby. The fitness center looks modern and all the equipment looks really clean and new (they provide towels and water there!). The pool is warmed with lots of lounging chairs, a fire pit by the sofas, and a little grassy area with a ping pong table. There are little QR code's to order food at the pool. The pool is actually long enough to do some actual swimming too! :D Some downsides: Valet option only. There is no daily room cleaning unless you specifically ask them (so we called for towels). But otherwise, this Uptown location was awesome, probably one of the best hotels I've stayed at! read more

The room service food was actually really tasty. Everything I ordered, I thoroughly enjoyed. Sometimes room service can be pretty blah. I ordered breakfast (in the pics) and the Ragu and a Caesar Salad for supper (not pictured). Nothing was too salty, bland, or disappointing. I needed to request a few more hand towels during my stay. I called the front desk for them, and it was absolutely no problem for them to accomadate me. The black out drapes were great to have in the mornings to sleep in, and the regular drapes were lovely to have to let natural light in during the day - but still giving a sense of privacy. I LOVE that check-in is at 3pm and check-out is at noon. I loathe the usual 4pm/11am schedule. The bed was a little firm and my bathroom sink would sometimes make a funny noise. Parking is $35, which is a common complaint, but there's plenty of street parking around the area for free. All-in-all, I really enjoyed my stay here. read more

Everyone (the valet, the front desk, and the barista) was super friendly, the hotel rooms were great, and the bed was super comfy. I also really appreciated that the rooms had tile instead of carpet. We stayed here because we were in town for a show at the AA Center and the hotel was within walking distance - a pleasant, safe one at that. Situated in the middle of a lot of bars, restaurants, and offices. There is a nice bar in the lobby and a restaurant and cafe on site. The rooms were quiet and spacious. I was in room 704 which had a view of the pool and city. The bed was comfortable and they provide big soft pillows. There is a large shower and a coffee maker in the room but I didn't use it. The TV is wall mount and a really good size. The Wi-Fi was not great but hotel Wi-Fi usually isn't so that wasn't a surprise. We weren't able to find anywhere to park except for the valet so bring tip money for them. I would be happy to stay here again and I felt like it was clean and well maintained. read more

Fabulous place to stay! Came in for the weekend for a hockey game at the American Airlines stadium and was surprised how walkable this area of Dallas is! We flew in and we were prepared to Lyft everywhere but honestly ended up only needing to Lyft to/from the airport. The location of this hotel is perfect for anyone wanting a walkable weekend. There's many great restaurants/bars near this hotel and the American Airlines stadium really isn't too far away. Such a gorgeous hotel! We have stayed in this hotel and it and the staff are was excellent. I give it 4 stars for a weird reason. Recently we were in for drinks with a bunch of workmates, and one of the employees was wearing a very strong, unpleasant perfume. Everything else is excellent, even the employee wearing the scent is so accommodating and wonderful, but it is just overpowering and lingers where they have walked. Scents around food and drinks really shouldn't be allowed as it interferes with the lovely scents of what you are eating/drinking. Anyway, I feel dumb writing this, but feel like I'd avoid going back if I smell that odor again. read more

My company held our national sales meeting at Uptown Marriott. They were very accommodating and easy to work with. The meeting spaces were more than adequate for what we needed. We used the top floor event space for our opening cocktail party and the balcony and view really added to the event. The rooms are very comfortable. I am very pleased with the Marriott Dallas Uptown, and it has me rethinking my favorite hotels thanks to this stay. (My plane from Seattle was delayed by four hours and I didn't get in until 2:30 AM) I contacted them to let them know I'd be late and I spoke with Robin who assured me everything would be fine. After three hours on the runway in Austin, I followed up to make sure the hotel knew I would be coming. Robin said she would be there waiting for me when I arrived, and she was at the front door. (Because at 2:30am the doors are presumably locked) Unbelievable. She was very kind, she provided me with much needed coke water and got me right into my room. The room is perfect, it feels all new, great shower, comfy bed and smart TV. I am very pleased with every aspect of this hotel. Yes, it's a green hotel, and until there's motion in the room, the air conditioning does not turn on, but that said it was 90° when I got here late last night And the room cooled down to 65 very quickly. The air conditioning does NOT shut off overnight so it will keep you cool if you know how thermostats work. Everything, soup to nuts is excellent. The food from the restaurant is fresh and delicious. From the front door to the restaurant, to the Starbucks. This is a five star hotel that I would give 10 stars to if I could. Very happy that our convention was hosted here at this hotel. Marriott treats their guests like family and seems to have gone over and above to please its guests, and the companies that are here for Radio's morning show Boot Camp! If your black and your using an explore form prepare to be talked to disrespectfully. Worst experience thus far! Evan claimed that I caused a disturbance by asking if I could e mail my form since I was traveling from out of state and I have issues logging into my e mail from random computers. The lady that checked me in gave me her e mail and I was checked in without any other issues.. prior to that they didn't acknowledge my titanium elite status yet the white man before me got acknowledged and thanked for his status. I also overheard the staff saying I book and cancel all the time which Evan just confirmed by phone that I only had 1 cancellation and 1 previous stay at this location so last night was only my second time staying there Evan was yelling at me over the phone. The bartenders were great! My room was nice and the lady in the M Club was amazing as well! I will not be returning and I'm sure they've already contacted the manager to my family member on whose form I'm using to try to bully me in that form. I won't ever book this location again! BLACK FOLKS STAY ELSEWHERE! I'd recommend the Westin at Galleria, AC Hotel Galleria or Le Meridian! Awesome hotels and they treat all customers equally. read more

All precautions were taken. Mobile keyless entry was nice - didn't even have to check in at the desk. Remote was cleaned & sealed in plastic for us. Small packs of wipes were even on the night desk (first I've seen of that). Linen spray with essential oils was an added nicety. Very beautiful place. Beautiful views all around. Kind of weird that there was no ice machine for guests to use - but they brought ice up promptly. No complaints at all! read more

None of our guys that stayed on the fourth floor had hot water. When they call down to ask about it the lady told him that everything is fine he just doesn't know how to work the faucet, quite embarrassing. Also the ACs are motion censored so good luck sleeping in a 80° room at night when nothings moving around to kick the air back on. I was so upset. The people who work here are almost 100% great! Checking in at 1 am wasn't great not just because of the hour. Upon entering I immediately noticed that the door to the balcony was wide open and there was something spilled on the floor. The staff apologized profusely but it was disconcerting. I personally don't like the in room dining experience. The menu is limited and I don't want my food in a paper bag with plastic utensils. Yuck! We were served a bottle of Prosecco with plastic glasses. So bad Again the staff is excellent from Brennan, Javenea, and others. The hotel polices are influencing this less than stellar review. This is a beautiful hotel, with a great location. So much is in walking distance, and it's a much better location than downtown. I've stayed in a lot of hotels and a lot of Marriotts around the country--enough to earn Titanium status. This one was exceptional. I'd recommend upgrading to the Junior King Suite. The room was exceptional, and the bathroom with the standalone tub overlooking the skyline view was on point. I'd also like to personally thank Joycelyn at Vicinity (the coffee shop in the hotel). Her genuineness and joy truly brightened our day. It's probably been more than a year since I experienced such warm and genuine hospitality and customer service. Thank you! read more
