Decent for a Marriott location has some good easy food nearby. Restaurants not great. On the weekends they get overrun. Staff is very nice not well organized in the restaurant. Room was nice. Front desk was efficient helpful. read more

When you walk into the building you immediately are hit with a pleasant, mild citrus scent. The employees are quite helpful and friendly. The lobby was hopping with veterans who were attending a weekend conference. There was also a special event in one of their ballrooms. We did have a delicious cocktail at the very busy bar. We found the beds very comfortable and it was very quiet the two nights that we stayed there on the 10th floor. We were a bit disappointed that we didn't get a complimentary breakfast, however, they did have hot coffee downstairs first thing in the morning. You could order breakfast downstairs, but we did find it was a bit pricey. We did miss having a refrigerator and failed to ask if they could provide one. Most places will put a refrigerator in the room if you request it. Also, there was no microwave but we at the time did not need one. All in all we would stay there again in a pinch! read more

Don't even think about it. Today this hotel despite it good history is filthy and poorly trained staff. The did not have a room for me at midnight. I'm a titanium elite. I had to move to another hotel they said their van was broken. Security gets in their car and passes me walking to the other hotel and says in a sarcastic tone have a nice day. At 12 midnight in Albuquerque wow The GM is pretty much an idiot I'm sorry but he is frankly a stupid person he responded to my concerns with hes going to absorb what I say and learn from it meanwhile they avoided at all costs to give me any sort of compensation for putting me through that they even left me checked in for a week and didn't even know it they are a mess there's several hotels in there that are better I would not use them they won't even return calls to make it right right I don't think they really care. Remember it's a franchise it's not Marriott corporation so they'll run it the way they run it within the bare minimum guidelines and if they mess up a client they're responsible to make a correct in which they have not done so I'm a titanium elite. I don't want anybody to have the same experience I had experience I had. It's definitely not marriott corporation hotel if that was the case Mariott would make it right. read more

We had a great time at the Marriott even for one night it was just magical for the kids. The food is great-great food. What a dump! The furniture was old lacquer chipping. No refrigerator the beds were lumpy the carpet vacuumed but stained. I felt like we were staying at a Super 8 But the staff was excellent! My experience is that this hotel is substandard in most every possible way. The parking situation is an absolute quagmire. Check in was actually pretty easy and quick. That's the only nice thing to say and the only reason they earn a single star. The room has no mini fridge, no microwave, and crappy decaf (only) coffee. I also only had conditioner, but no shampoo. That first day my hair was silky but not clean. Coup de gras, tonight I thought it would be nice to go down to the bar/restaurant, order some food and have a beer while I was waiting for the food (to bring up to the room). 30 min later, no food, no beer. But the waitress DID have the audacity to bring me a check for a drink and food that I hadn't received. D read more

Continuing our road trip from Tulsa to Phoenix, 2nd night stop in Albuquerque. The Marriott was hosting "Bubonicon", a convention of science fiction, technology enthusiasts, medical people, and board gamers. The nicest people in the world attending a convention named after a case of bubonic plague that was discovered in a remote area of New Mexico over 50 years ago. Yes, New Mexico has fun with a lot of interesting topics... space aliens, bubonic plague... I digress, this Marriott has: - Plenty of Free Parking - Easy access off of US 40 - Modern common areas and rooms - Indoor and Outdoor Swimming Pool - Comfortable Beds - Fancy Bathroom Products - Polite front desk staff - Near lots of trendy restaurants and Trader Joe's Satisfied with our stay. read more

I just missed a fiasco on check-in. Somehow the desk clerk got locked out of the software. The guest before me waited for over an hour. I got my room pretty fast. The desk clerk was very ingenuitive in solving the problem. He gets a lot of credit for that. All around the staff was amazing. I had a club sandwich in the restaurant, and it was barely mediocre. That's part of the reason for the three star review. The menu advertises fresh roasted turkey it was luncheon meat. And it wasn't even very good quality luncheon meat. the computer fiasco at the front desk was a perfect example of incompetent IT staff. the system timed out after the desk clerk this type the password and the customers had to wait 30 minutes for him to be able to login again. they changed the password, then he locked out again. The customers had to wait another 30 minutes. The entire IT staff or whatever contractor they're using should be fired. read more

This was an ok stay. The bed was really comfortable and clean. Check in happened so fast which I appreciated. The bathroom floor was dirty. It had either pet hair or someone cut their hair during the last stay. The counters and toilets were clean, but that hair just was kind of gross and it was a noticeable amount. The tv played for about 10 minutes and then buffered forever. It wouldn't even turn off using the remote or the power butting on the tv. We unplugged it and plugged it back in and same issue. We gave up after that and just counted it as a loss. I have stayed here before and would again out of convenience, but only as a roadtrip stop not as a vacation or getaway until the renovate or something. read more

Titanium Bonvoy member. Property is dated and rooms are small. The even higher numbered rooms face the Interstate and the choice of glass is poor. Listened to freeway noise all night. Room sounded like the bed was on the on-ramp to the freeway. Sleeping in my car in the parking lot would have been more comfortable and relaxing. No refrigerator or microwave and concierge club is closed on the weekend. Nice staff but that didn't make up for all the other shortcomings. read more

I was there for the balloon fiesta with our family. We couldn't have had a better experience. The staff was amazing. Everyone was super friendly from the maids to the front desk staff. Drove 10 hours, decided to stop and stay at this Marriott, first of all their trash cans were full, odd. Then get into the room, shower and started at 9:15 to grab food from the hotel restaurant before it closes at 11pm. I called several times no answer, then finally get an answer, was asked to hold which I did for almost 20 minutes. Finally, Hung up, called back only to get no answer again, after several attempts, he finally answers and said they got slammed and that it would be awhile and that if I was hungry I should go to the restaurant. I've never had such poor service at a Marriott. Never. read more

Goo property. Noisy lobby and not really designed for the tourists. Lots of weekday business. Concierge lounge is small but same number of people. Food was gone. This is a full service Marriott hotel is is definitely designed for the business travelers and not the vacationers. The lobby area is quite noisy, especially the bar which was well packed with the after-work crowd and the ones who were stacking up their Marriott points by eating here. Quite a lot of elite travelers doing their thing, which made for a very crowded concierge lounge that had the usual number of visitors but was smaller than it could have been. Breakfast was well stocked with bagels and eggs and such, but the evening hours had pretty well decimated most of the food on offer. Snooze, you (I) lose. Our room on the 14th floor was quiet without the usual slamming doors that I've come to notice a lot of lately. Very little room from the hallway or the neighbors. Bed was comfortable, if a little soft. We did not visit the indoor/outdoor pool, exercise room or the restaurant. Good shopping right across the street and many restaurants if you want to get out of the hotel. Our room had a nice view of the mountains at sunset. read more

i stayed here back in February, and had I not been attending a conference I would've stayed elsewhere. The staff was very nice and helpful but the hotel itself has issues. I did not have a good experience at this particular Marriott. We checked into the room and it was very dusty. There was a service note from the previous guest left on the desk, pretzel pieces and crumbs on the office chair and near the night stand. The bed skirts were dusty and had stains, I have no idea when the last time they even changed that. Oh, there was even a dirty face towel left underneath the sink. The towels smelled nasty as well. I would NEVER stay here again. Oh, and my husband said the breakfast was $21 for mediocre food. read more

Decent Marriott but it really shows its age. And I mean it really does. I stayed for a couple days in June 2021 and they noticeably forwent quite a few services, presumably because of Covid. Not sure if the local policy prevents offering breakfast and/or housekeeping at this stage but they were noticeably missing. The rooms have been updated fairly recently but not such a thorough renovation that's the room doesn't still feel (and smell) very old. The Uptown location is pretty convenient if you're just trying to get easy bites or do some shopping. Not so great for unique, Albuquerque flavor as it's chain-city but it sure was convenient. The gym was decently equipped for a short stay and the pool was a nice addition even if a little depressing and lacking a hot tub. Overall this is probably a decent Marriott that will check many boxes because of its location and amenity offerings but if you're looking for the typical polished Marriott experience, you will likely be disappointed at least in some regards. You might want to consider a newer property, even if you have two go down a brand. read more

Clean both indoors and outdoors. Rooms are quiet, beds comfortable and staff friendly.

The room is clean and the staff is nice--but it's in a cultural desert and could be anywhere in Iowa but with vaguely Pueblo territorial architecture. That is all fine, I guess, but I would caution you definitely against eating breakfast here. It's like I said, the staff is nice enough but they will try to muscle you in it eating eating the Buffay, which cost more than $28 plus the tip and consisted of the following: one a tray of exceptionally dry scrambled eggs, a tray of generic sausage, a tray of beet rubbery potatoes, and the typical plastic racks full of stale bagels, boring toast, and cereal. In other words, the same exact breakfast that you would get a best Western for free, right down to the rubbery hard boiled eggs. It was such a shame to spend 30 bucks plus change on a breakfast that would've been subpar at even the complementary level. Across the street from here there is a nice little French bakery which serves outstanding food that 1/3 the prize, with the service in the amazing latte. I would never stay here again if it weren't for the fact that I am at a conference here, but I would never bring my family here, and every evening I must leave the hotel in search of dinner, which is fine, it appeals to my sense of adventure, but still. Other than that the room is nice enough, the elevators work, and everything is up to the level it should be for $170 per night. read more

Is this really a Marriott, or have their standards disappeared in the quest for greater profits? Upon arrival, we were informed there was no ROOM SERVICE as the result of COVID. Understandable. And since it is a 'pay as needed' service, extra from staying at the hotel,we decided we would not need this service, anyway. What they MEANT to say was NO HOUSEKEEPING; a service that is included in your room rate. When I enquired about this, I also asked if there would be a reduction in the room rate, I was informed that there would not be a reduction in the rate. If COVID is the reason for the lack of housekeeping services, then why is the bar and restaurant open for business? Answer: they are money making profit centers. Housekeeping is not. It is a cost. So then, one would expect premium room amenities. This was not the case. The bath towels were threadbare, the windows have not been cleaned for an extended period, and there is rust in the shower. Come on Marriott, you can do better taking ng care of your guests, instead of looking for ways th cut expenses. I expect (and receive) better at a Days Inn. read more

Stayed at this Marriott driving home from Arizona. right off the highway, friendly staff, and very nice place. Went to their bar for a drink and met Kyle and Chloe. After traveling, it was nice to meet two very friendly, pleasant people serving us. Kyle served an old fashioned with orange bitters. Wow! what a difference it made. okay, I tried another one without the orange bitters to be able to taste the difference. Orange won my vote. But the point is, he cared enough to try something he felt was better! Love that! He loves his job, and it showed! read more

Been to this location several times. Its well situated near lots of restaurants and shopping. While this is an upscale area to some degree, it is a target for theft. NEVER leave anything in your vehicle. They have security on premise, but not sure of their hours. I saw a security vehicle there most of the time i was there. The rooms, as many have mentioned are starting to show their wear. Table in my room was wobbly and borderline unsafe. The service however was very good from start to finish. The front test staff were responsive and pleasant, at all hours of the day. read more

Stayed here 3 times. The first time was great, the next two not so. Some things to watch out for: do not accept room numbers over xx29 where xx is the floor number-they are near the ice machines. Request a room away from Louisiana Blvd. very noisy with the traffic (even on the 14th floor) and the AC units for the conference center. Get a room facing the valley I think these are even numbered rooms) and you could see the early morning liftoff of the hot air balloons. The dining facility does make mistakes, but they are quick to compensate. read more

Very nice hotel in a perfect location in uptown Albuquerque. Easy access from the I-40 and situated near all of the newer development in the city. Convenient to tons of restaurants and shopping. Hotel has been recently renovated with attractive decor and a spacious bathroom with large shower, nice amenities and great water pressure. In room coffeemaker, complimentary water bottles and chocolates on the pillows. Concierge Lounge on the 14th has nice views and a substantial breakfast buffet that is well stocked by the friendly hostess Lupe. More water bottles and a selection of soda cans to take away. Will definitely return to this hotel. A couple of things that would move this hotel from 4 to 5 stars: 4 pkgs of coffee in the room, 3 were decaf. Good thing only one of us wanted an early coffee. Teabags offered but only chamomile or night calm; nothing with caffeine. Our King bed was made up with a queen sized flat sheet; made sleeping interesting ‍ read more

This hotel was ok. I came here for a business trip. Convenient location for a conference with a Trader Joe's, Target, shopping, and eateries across the street. The room I had had no fridge, no microwave, and no safe. I think of those all as basic commodities for a room. The room was advertised as having these amenities. However, beds were very comfortable, which was nice. The breakfast downstairs is extremely understaffed and also expensive. $18 for continental breakfast! We only did that once. I wouldn't stay here again by my own choice, but it was a fine hotel for a conference. read more

Update: stayed here during COVID. This hotel's cleanliness is immaculate. Customer service is wonderful and got a Labor Day rate of $79 per night. No gym or pool until further notice. ---- Not bad. Hotel appears to be from the early 80s but appears to have been nicely renovated. We stayed on the 9th floor. Good view of downtown. Gym area renovated with good machines. Knocked a star off because it's 2019 and this place charges $15 for internet per device. That's sacrilege. Has all the general trappings of a Marriott hotel. The sound isolation here is non-existent. This trip was extra special when I was booked into a room and found people already inside. The beds and pillows are atrocious. I have upped it to 2 stars for cleanliness and nice staff.
