I counted 5 times, in our brief conversation, that she paused to pick up her cell phone and text someone. Doesn't matter who, it's unprofessional. In no other profession would that be acceptable. I was about to spend all of my life savings for someone that clearly wasn't fully listening to me, as she gave the same generic statement every time she put her phone back to. I was not thrilled! I am pretty sure this is first time a yelp rating failed me so I personally have to assume the near 5 rating is from friends and family. I have had to monitor the fees closely (noted instances of double dipping) and the office staff says to me, after OVER 8 months working together by email, phone and mail, that they didn't have my correct email for very important timely items. I am nearing case completion and WILL UPDATE MY REVIEW with even more details when they can no longer jerk me around.

Mark Mahoney's extensive experience in defending autistic people was integral to the positive outcome we were able to achieve. His knowledge and understanding of the autistic experience -- both for the child, AND the parents -- really came across to my husband and me, which put him way ahead of anyone else we spoke with while we searched for representation. In fact, the autism factor was not even considered as part of the defense for other attorneys we spoke with. We hired Mark from out of state, which is not uncommon, since he handles cases all over the country. In our case, Mark educated the prosecution about autism and autistic defendants, and in so doing, demonstrated that when prosecutors and judges are given the right information, in the right way, about autism, truly extraordinary outcomes are possible. We will forever be grateful, not only for Mark's wealth of knowledge on the subject of autism, but also for his patience, accessibility, and willingness to explain complicated issues. We hit the jackpot when we found this firm.

I do not recommend this attorney based on my personal experience…read more I was never informed that his hourly rate was $400 per hour. I met with him only once, and the meeting lasted less than an hour. Despite this, I was later billed for 4.76 hours. He also did not appear in court for my matrimonial matter. In fact, the judge had to inform both me and my wife's attorney that he was not representing me. Throughout the case, he did not provide me with documents, updates, or meaningful communication regarding my matter. I had to obtain information about my own case through the online court portal rather than receiving updates directly from my attorney. Based on my experience, I was extremely dissatisfied with the level of communication, representation, and transparency regarding his billing. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering hiring this attorney carefully confirm his hourly rate, billing practices, and exactly what services are included before retaining him. In my opinion, my experience was not worth the amount I was charged, and I would not hire this attorney again.
