At 61, stepping in front of a camera and allowing myself to be vulnerable wasn't exactly easy. I had plenty of nerves and insecurities walking in. But from the moment I arrived, Kelly and Naomi made me feel comfortable, welcomed, and completely at ease. Of course, it started pouring rain the second I arrived , but Kelly came out to greet me with an umbrella. We headed inside and up the beautiful wooden staircase where all the makeover magic happens! Kelly did my hair and makeup and absolutely worked her magic. She did an amazing job with my thin, fine hair and my 61-year-old skin. She helped me choose a couple of outfits from the incredible wardrobe of sexy lingerie, and then Naomi came in and helped select a few more. Then we headed downstairs to the studio, which is absolutely beautiful and has such a quaint, intimate feel, with gorgeous woodworking, old fireplaces, AND furniture that all has names! Naomi was amazing behind the camera. She knows exactly how to pose you, adjust your hair , make you laugh, and get you moving. She is relentless when it comes to getting the perfect shot--and I mean that as the biggest compliment! My favorite poses were with Lorraine... IYKYK! And let me tell you, being 61 and not nearly as flexible as I used to be, I still managed to get those poses in! Apparently, I had a little more in me than I thought! She had me laughing, shimmying, posing, and even doing boomerangs... IYKYK! Somewhere along the way, I completely forgot about being nervous. That's probably the biggest thing I'll take away from this experience. I walked through that door feeling vulnerable and unsure of myself, and by the time I was finished, I felt confident, beautiful, sexy, and comfortable in my own skin. And then came the photographs... Let me just say, choosing favorites is nearly impossible because you are going to want EVERY SINGLE ONE! Kelly and Naomi, thank you for taking what felt like such a scary step for me and turning it into such a fun, empowering, hilarious, and unforgettable experience. Sometimes the hardest part is simply walking through the door--and I'm so glad I did. If you've been thinking about doing a boudoir session but you're nervous, insecure, or wondering if you can really do it... walk through the door. Give yourself the chance. You might just surprise yourself.

While setting up tables, Michele left for over two hours to pick something up, but she did not answer texts or phone calls as to when she was returning. The mothers of bride and groom, bridesmaids, & bride's two brothers were placing tablecloths, plates, chargers, utensils, and flower people helped to set up. We were a table short, and Michele said she thought it was enough. She was the person who created the table seating poster. The same group set up the candy bar. We found out the next day that Michele had two weddings the same day, so I can assume she was setting up the other wedding. The celebration was outside and unfortunately, it started to rain 10 minutes prior to the ceremony. Michele made NO move to go to plan B as she told the couple they had to let her know two hours before the wedding. How would they know when it would rain?? The maid of honor took the reins, and shuffled the guests around, and the ceremony was 30 minutes late. Now at the reception, there was the cake cutting but No bouquet toss, first dance. The next day, the cleanup team consisted of family and couple. Michele showed up when we we're almost finished. As mother of the groom, I am so disappointed in the service provided by Michele. The couple did complain to Christina later, and one sixth of the money paid was returned. I feel at the very minimum, half of the cost should have been refunded. As soon as I met Alan, I knew he would do a great job. He was very organized and brought a pack of information for me to fill out that would help him run our reception. I really liked his personality too. You could tell he's not one of those cheesy DJs who will make you cringe through the whole reception. We only met once before the wedding since my engagement was pretty short. But that was all he needed. Alan helped us have the best wedding reception I've ever been to. He kept everyone dancing from start to finish. People commented to me afterward that they couldn't believe how much people danced! Alan kept the party rolling, and if he could tell people weren't responding to a song, he switched to something else, and everyone was right back on the dance floor. He played most of our song requests and didn't play anything that was on our do not play list, which I very much appreciated. I was so impressed with Alan, and since the wedding, I've had at least one person ask me for his contact information so they could use him for a wedding too. Searching for a DJ is nerve-wracking, but you do not need to be nervous if you use Alan Trisler. He will take care of you and make your reception a party that no one will forget. It was some of the best money we spent on our wedding. I cannot recommend him enough.
