I stayed here for 5 days while doing a placement at the hospital and found this b&b to be pretty average despite all the 5 star reviews on other sites like TripAdvisor. On the first night we were in the main B&B house which was really nice and warm, well equipped with soap, towels, hairdryer etc. However the following morning the lady said she had to move us into the separate house just next to the B&B which was like a share house really, with a kitchen to use. But moving us after we'd unpacked and everything was very annoying. The house we were moved to was very cold, and the carpets were old and dirty with stains on them. The beds were comfy enough and the bathrooms were clean, but I really didn't like the cold and we weren't allowed tamper with the boiler or change the heat settings. This was in April, so I can't imagine how cold it would be in winter. The kitchen was well equipped and clean but there was just no small spoons which I thought was unusual. The breakfast was pretty nice but very basic. They had cornflakes, muesli, yoghurt, fruit and bread. There was also cooked breakfast like eggs, full Irish and porridge from 8am. The owner was ok, I didn't find her too friendly but the husband was very nice. Overall, average accommodation that could be warmer and perhaps get the carpets cleaned if not replaced. read more
