Dr Fernandez is very open and clear about their protocols and what is expected from the children as far as contact between kids, mask wearing, and hygiene, which was very reassuring and made me feel comfortable sending my son. They also have a large outdoor space where they spend a significant amount of time in the summer months. My son absolutely loved his time there and always had something fun to tell me about when I picked him up. He enjoyed the weekly themes and the crafts and activities that go along with each week's theme. My son had clearly made a genuine connection with many of the staff and other kids there in just three short weeks, which I believe reflects greatly on the caring nature of the staff and nurturing atmosphere that they create.

I looked at a few preschools before choosing the Coop and many of the schools discouraged parents in the classroom, even if the child was upset, but the Coop was different. I couldn't imagine leaving my girls upset about leaving me, and I prepared myself to spend some time in the classroom until they got to know and trust their teacher, and eventually be okay with me leaving. However, I only stayed one morning before my girls were confident and happy, and I could leave them smiling...not crying. Here a few things that made the transition easy: Before school starts the teachers visit each child's home so the kids have a familiar adult face on the first day of school. They have modified schedule for the first few weeks to ease the children into a full day at school (away from their parents). There's always a parent in the classroom which I think is comforting. Parent-helping is part of the school's philosophy and one parent from each family helps about once a month. The classes are small with only about 8-10 students in each classroom. My girls love school so much they just started doing Stay and Play (extends the day until 2:30) which gives me a very nice break.

I take pride in knowing that my educators are engaged with the children throughout the day whether it be through academic centers or free play. I see children with happy faces engaging with their peers, I see educators interacting with the children, becoming excited as the children accomplish a new task, offering comfort and love when the children need that extra hug. Again, I apologize to Bianca B and I wish that she had approached me with her concerns. I most certainly would have addressed them. I have been working with children and parents since 1991 and I truly love what I do.

A neighbor suggested Wee Care and we originally intended daycare to be only a temporary solution. But we were so amazed at the loving environment, the caliber of the childcare providers and educators and the quality of the curriculum for all age groups that we decided to move to full time, permanent care for our baby. Then we also moved our preschooler into their program full time (we moved her out of another local program and into Wee Care). It's been the best decision our family ever could have made. The school follows a curriculum that integrates art, science, music & movement, technology, creative play and social skills. Our daughter is now full time in Pre-K at Wee Care and we are so amazed at what she's learning each and every week. We feel she will be more than prepared to begin Kindergarten next year. The school also does a fantastic job creating a close knit community with events for families (a Halloween party, holiday pot luck, end of year party, etc.). The daily updates through their app brought us peace of mind, and over the two and a half years our son attended, we accumulated over 3,000 photos. The transparency and communication were wonderful--we always felt informed about what was happening while our child was in their care.
