There is a huge turn over rate for teachers, I know something was weird when all the great teachers left the facility and were replaced. The state that the school is a Montessori school, but I hardly ever saw anything of that matter. The school randomly decided to close for a whole week for the week of fourth of July. They gave the parents a months notice. I reached out to the director about how I was not able to get this time off. Being a single mother. She didn't care and was super rude to me. There is no structure in this facility and its sad because it use to be a great day care. Please do not send your children here.

There was a snow day recently and she cried because she was so sad she wouldn't see her friends and teachers! The staff are all simply delightful, and they are constantly making improvements to the facility. I actually toured the school when the old director was there and found it way too overcrowded and cluttered. The new director and teachers are fantastic! It feels like the school in Daniel Tiger's neighborhood We could not be happier with our decision to send our daughter here.

If I could give zero stars I would…read more My son attended Strawberries Early Learning Center for just two days and in that short time I witnessed clear signs of neglect and unprofessionalism that no parent should ever experience. On the first day he was sent home in a full diaper despite me providing diaper ointments and clearly stating in the enrollment forms and verbally that he has extremely sensitive skin. By the second day he came home with a severe painful diaper rash with peeling skin. I was heartbroken. When I calmly raised my concerns to the director instead of taking accountability or even expressing concern for my child's health she retaliated and removed my son from the daycare on the spot. As I was leaving she clapped her hands at me called me crazy and threatened to call the police while I was already walking off the property with my son. Her behavior was loud degrading and completely unprofessional. A 51A report has now been filed by a Worcester police officer who was also shocked by the photos of my son's condition. I have also filed complaints with the Department of Early Education and Care and will be pursuing further action with MCAD EEOC and the BBB. And this is just my experience not everyone will have the same one but I'm posting this because no one should let all the positive reviews blind them. Every year the daycare asks parents to leave reviews on Google because that's how they boost their enrollment numbers. Do your own research ask questions and trust your gut.

They are so hands on, have a curriculum, send updates through out the days from photos, what they eat and when they use the bathroom. Daycare was scary for both My son and I and they have make this transition so easy and comfortable for us! He loves his teachers and always comes home with art he's made. This program is registered as an accredited program, BUT, is LACKING In the standard that as a…read moreparent you'd expect. The preschool does offer weekly live guitarist who sings with the kids, also to its credit it has a talented Spanish teacher who makes this language interesting. Kind teachers. Program is planned & executed, BUT, parents don't get daily updates on activities, only weekly. Only ONE teacher per class. For most activities they combine the classes which creates chaos. Last year I saw one teacher dealing with 9 boys ages 4,5. The were constantly combined with my son's class 3,4 yr olds. During break times none effective or lacking adult supervision. My child was pushed down the stairs TWICE!! And they didn't even know! My then 3 year old was hit a few times in school & only once did they report it, AFTER, I started contacting the school with my concerns. My child loved his friends & teacher but was terrified of two older kids who would be combined at activity time. The teachers are GOOD, but supervision between class & at break time is lacking. Staff chatting instead of being present in the moment & comments like " boys will be boys" in response to your concerns.

All of our neighbors put their kids through and had very positive experiences as well, as all of our kids were more than ready for kindergarten when that started! We asked the teachers and the director to address the problem of hitting, pushing and bullying multiple times and never got a positive resolution. The director should be ashamed of her response and intervention to the repeated requests to solve this problem.

Three separate times they called to say my son had a fever and I would pick him up and take him to the doctor and the doctor would tell me he didn't have a fever. When I brought my concerns to the school I was dismissed saying they have a state of the art thermometer and that it was accurate. Another time we picked him up and brought him home and changed him and found three ticks on him, one of which was attached to his foot. Again, I informed the school and they told me that they haven't had a tick on a child in years and that they treat the play area regularly. Why try to justify or defend yourself in this situation? He was at daycare all day and we came straight home and found the ticks. Where else could they have come from? All a parent wants to hear is that you understand the concern and you will address it. This place is more concerned with gaslighting you to protect themselves than actually taking concerns regarding the safety of children in their care seriously. Their illness policy makes absolutely no sense. My son was not allowed to come to school because he had an ear infection which is not contagious yet when I called to tell them he had pinkeye, they said he was fine to come in as long as he didn't rub his eye. He had just turned two at the time and there's no way a barely two year old isn't going to rub his eye. I was disgusted at the thought of children being allowed in a classroom together with something highly contagious like pinkeye. Also, my son was at the age to transition from day care to preschool and I reached out several times about the process for moving to preschool and for more information about the program. No one responded to my inquiries via email and I never saw administration there after 4pm when I came for pick up. One day while I was at work, out of the blue, I received a message via the school's app, which they typically used for communicating quick information like event reminders, saying that because my 2 year old son doesn't make eye contact and can't sit still during activities, they would not allow him to move to preschool or stay in his current day care program at Skribbles and told me his last day would be August 25th giving me little notice before he would be unenrolled leaving me scrambling to find a new childcare facility. This should have been an in person conversation, not an emotionally disruptive instant message in the middle of my work day. I also had an issue with a teacher who felt it was appropriate to make a comment about my son, who is autistic, saying: "It's too bad you didn't name him Dennis so we could call him Dennis the Menace." If you're not trained or equipped to support a child with special needs then maybe you should have a serious conversation about your concerns with the parents. I consistently communicated with the school about his developmental delays and how to best support him. Every day I would pick him up and his teachers would tell me he had a great day and how impressed they were with his progress. No concerns were ever expressed to me about their ability to handle my sons needs. There's so much more I could say about the terrible experience my family had with this place. At a certain point I just stopped bringing any concerns to the administration because I was constantly gaslit and it was clear they didn't want to take ownership of anything. We've found a much better environment elsewhere and now my son actually gets excited to go to school instead of crying every drop off like he did with Skribbles. After starting at his new school, I've meet a number of people who had less than pleasant things to say about Skribbles. This establishment needs to learn some empathy and compassion and needs a serious lesson is communication.

Now that it's her little…read morebrother's turn to go to preschool, she has made SURE (daily) that I am sending him to Puckihuddle too! The staff is great, the program and field trips are fantastic. My daughter was fully prepared for Kindergarten, if not OVERLY prepared! Please don't let the one star review keep you from considering this wonderful school. The teacher referred to who had the degree in accounting, was fantastic and was one of my daughter's favorite teachers. During my daughter's first year at Puckihuddle, the staff observed that my daughter was very sensitive to loud music, noises, and singing. They were very receptive and told me right away about what they had observed, recommended that I have her evaluated by her doctor and even provided her with ear muffs to wear when there was music playing, etc. and allowed her to be in a quieter area when she was overwhelmed by the sounds. The issue ended up resolving itself as she got a little older, but I had such peace of mind knowing that they had so quickly observed the issue and worked to help her with it.
