After the Covid restrictions, our singing group started having lunch after our weekly rehearsal and we needed spacious venues with easy access and reasonable prices. Marks Point Bowling Club is our closest venue and we enjoy its hospitality monthly. The premises are well kept, the food choices are many, generous and delicious but the staff are especially welcoming and so obliging. It can be busy on tournament days but never crowded. The small sports bar has a good selection of beers on tap and bottled as well as the usual spirits. There's also a bistro with a small range of meals. Crowd was friendly. I'm told by a member that this small, financially-challenged club, with the help of a new Board is turning around. The premises aren't much to look at but the toilets have been recently renovated and new greens were being laid when I visited this week. A raffle on Tuesday nights is well attended. read more
