Definitely one of the most memorable moments from my time in Australia. Once you're at Central Station in Sydney, you can take a train that goes to Morisset which takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at the station, there's a shuttle (I think it said "Kroozn Kangaroo" or something of that nature on the side) that will take you straight to the kangaroos! I didn't know about this so I was lucky I saw it. It'll cost you $3 one way per person and it's only like a 5 minute drive (but a 50 minute walk!). When you want to go back to the station from the park, you'll have to call the number on the shuttle and ask him to return, or you can just hang out at the park until the shuttle inevitably comes back with more visitors. I think the shuttle stops at like 4:30 p.m. so just be aware.
Regardless of what you see elsewhere, such as Yelp, TripAdvisor, or some other site, do. not. feed. them. There are signs that say not to but they're easy to miss because they're on the outskirts of the park. Apparently the kangaroos are becoming aggressive for food. Of course, there are going to be a lot of people who do it anyways, which made the shuttle driver very mad when he saw it (he also threatened to have people fined since his shuttle had a camera that recorded the incident).
The park itself has nothing at all, so go to the bathroom at the station and bring food/water (for yourself). The kangaroos are surprisingly tame so you can get pretty close for some great pictures. Overall it's an awesome experience and definitely worth the trip! read more
