If we weren't staying just 30 minutes from the park, we probably wouldn't have bothered because there isn't much else around it. The staff was super friendly and the park was larger than I was anticipating. It was so neat to see all of the Australian animals-- especially the kangaroos and koalas. Overall, I enjoyed myself quite a bit and I highly recommend this park to anyone looking for an up close and personal Australian animal adventure.

By the time we got there, the 'Roos weren't hungry since other people had fed them. The reptile show did not hold the interest of toddlers, but older kids and adults enjoyed seeing the crocodile loose in the enclosure and the big snake peacefully crawling on the presenter. In addition to the kangaroos, we saw Komodo dragons, echidnas, cassowary, emus, snakes, Tasmanian devils, wallabies, and koalas. The park was clean and had plenty of staff to keep animals safe. It was a bit odd to see American alligators too, but only one croc. This park is definitely on the must see list, an hour north of Sydney. Buy tickets online to save some dough.

I ordered the fish and chips, which consisted of a battered barramundi fillet, fries, and a nice garden salad. The fish was delicious and nicely cooked. The accompanying tartar sauce was probably the best I've ever had - I was scraping the sides of the container. We tried a bunch of other things as well, all of which seemed well done. These included the prawn pasta, squid ink pasta, chicken parmi, chicken burger, chicken schnitzel, and fish tacos. It's really in a prime spot near Caves Beach. Fantastic new Park at Umina with all the upgraded facilities like the new climbing walls,…read morebasketball courts, BMX Track and skate parks for different ages. It would be even better if kids under 5 years old and bike riders were kept off the larger skate bowl and stayed on the BMX or pump tracks that have been purpose built for them. They take over, don't look where they're going and don't care, leave their bikes or scooters just lying on ramps for skaters to try and avoid. And the parents get upset if you dare to politely ask them or thier kids to please be mindful of older skaters so they don't knock them off and get injured by thier kids hitting them. They behave entitled and rude. If thier kids get injuried I will guarantee that they will kick up a huge stink with council and make all sorts of ridiculous demands . In saying that there are some cool and competent young skaters who's parents have taught them the etiquette of sharing space. It's awesome. Suggestion...the Council to enforce some rules by putting up signs that say no bikes or toddlers with scooters or balance bikes permitted on the skate bowl. My son has a fractured wrist, damaged kneecaps and abrasion burns from a young child knocking into him and it was impossible for my son to avoid him. After an afternoon in emergency, in a great deal of pain, he's now bandaged up in splints. Parents of young kids need to at least supervise young kids properly or even better use the track that was built for them instead of endangering others. Someone is going to be critically hurt, and it just might be a young kid and the park shut down because of thier arrogance. Thanks!!!

The long stretch of golden beach has a buzzing surf culture and is also ideal for recreational swimming, with patrols on watch during summer. Sometimes it's the simple things in life that bring us the most pleasure. I love to sit on a towel with a good book, amidst the backdrop of the beautiful Pacific and simply enjoy the relaxed holiday vibe. It's also worth exploring the serene Avoca Lake which lies behind the beach. There's great shopping with a variety of restaurants and boutiques to choose from. Many romantic nights have been spent on the open plan balcony of the Blue Bar and Bistro in the area.

We did 4 wildlife encounters - koala, sugar gliders, meerkats and the wombat. It was ridiculously fun. And we also got the feed bags for the bunnies. We also saw the kangaroo feeding. Look no further…read more Managed to purchase 1/2 off admission tickets from groupon deals and thought that I would have to top up some money as it expired a few days before coming here. Unfortunately that wasn't the case and the lady at the front desk helped us out and gave us a map filled with instructions, animal encounters or feeding timings and the location of each attractions. The first encounter after opening the door towards the park was wild kangaroos as well as swamp wallabies hopping and emus strolling past us. It scared me a little as I thought they were in close proximity and most of the kangaroos are big in size. Then we went to the koala encounter area, alpaca, farm animals area, different birds, Tasmanian devils, reptiles, quolls, kookaburras, dingoes and some more that I forget the different names. It was an open enclosure and this section of the park is stroller friendly. My friend and I then did the trail. For the trail some parts are damaged by the continuous rain which happened the month before. And both of us got a little lost as there were no signs from the trail we went. But fortunately we managed to find the mount white lookout and headed to the visitor center through the boardwalk. Most of the animals were asleep when we arrived so going to the different talks or feeding sessions will give you more chances of taking pictures. Most of the animals were rescued animals but it blended well in the enclosures that they provided. The onsite rangers are well knowledgeable too and provided quite a number of information about the animal and his history during the mini talk sessions. There is an onsite souvenir store as well if you would like to grab yourselves soft toys, magnets, bells and more. For the food corner, you have to go to the store to make an order. Tried the fish fillet, chicken nuggets and hot chips. They were pretty delicious, wasn't too oily and good pricing too. Spent approximately 5 hours there and just looking at the animals were pretty relaxing for me especially for an animal lover like myself. I love how they try to preserve the wildlife aspects for the Kangaroos and emus so that they can freely roam around. It is definitely a hidden gem in Sydney :)

Sea caves here were lovely. We apparently came at the right time (I didn't know there was a timing…read morefactor) and were able to see all the caves around. The rocks surround here were beautiful and it was all around just stunning.
