My family doctor referred me to Dr. John Marks. He is about an hour and a half away (72miles). On August 4th, I called his office and made an appointment with Patricia for Sept 6th at 2pm. She provided general directions and mentioned they are in Lankenau Medical Science Building in Suite 375. I scheduled a day off from work knowing the long drive to his office. After driving about an hour and 20min, around 1:50pm, I called them to let them know I was going to be a little late. To my surprise, the front desk couldn't find my appointment. Even more frustrating, they couldn't find my record. When I explained my situation about taking the day off from work and the long drive to the appointment, she couldn't cared less. She was rude and sounded like I was wasting her time. When I spoke with the office manager, Krisanne, it was the same; except, she added she had checked with Dr. Marks about seeing me and he said, "No, he had 25 patients lined up." Yes, I was one of them if the office didn't screw up. These days doctors charge $50 or $100 for missed appointments and wasting their time. What about the other way around? Through this incident, it's apparent how much Dr. Marks cared for patients and valued their time. You might think, "Thank goodness this didn't happen to me." It will one day. You just wait. read more
