First let me say they had what I was looking for. With the ammo shortage the way it is I couldn't find what I needed anywhere. My problem is with times being hard because of covid and the shortage of ammo Marks is selling ammo at 2 1/2 times what it is worth. I understand supply and demand and marking your inventory up but this place is out to f-you. It's a shame Marks is taking advantage of situations to make more money (screwing people) by charging 2 1/2 times over normal cost. But if you want to go shooting and can't find ammo you have to pay the price and with Marks you better lube up and bend over because it will hurt. read more

Let me start by saying I was warned before going to Marks Guns by several people. Terrible, terrible all the way around. It starts with a camp ground type general store with over-priced "everything" that has a 1/4 of dust on items from 1991. The over-weight man with dark hair and a 70s adult film mustache is who sealed the deal w me. This guy was the biggest jerk i have met in retail that was soooo full of himself with an arrogant confidence that was lingering like a bad smell of old spice and sardines. He openly bragged about price gouging on gun broker and when i expressed " well that kinda sucks" he snapped back with well if you want everything the same price maybe you should vote for Biden with the rest of the socialist, as he struggled to inhale and pull up his pants. This was all in about 30 seconds of asking for certain reloading supplies. This guy is a business's worst nightmare, I hope he isn't the owner but if he is, i know why the parking lot is always empty and over priced items are covered in dust. I am a disabled Veteran and to have my patriotism questioned and disrespected within 30 seconds of supporting local business is unacceptable. I hope this review finds anyone who hasn't yet walked into Marks and steers you anywhere but here. One star cause no option for zero. I had done business with Mark's since the late eighties. I have bought several high end firearms there. It seems lately it's more a "good ol' boys" club than an actual business. Since covid started up their shelves are pretty much empty and what they do have is incredibly marked up. So much so that it seems like they're desperate to keep the doors open. The last time I was there I had a firearms transfer done. It shoulda came with a kiss! FIFTY bucks! When I questioned it Joe became defensive and said that's what its always been. Hello! The month prior I paid 25 for a transfer of a lower and made an impulse buy of a Kimber .45. Also the 50 transfer was for 3 ar lowers. He WARNED me the ATF now has my information and those serial numbers so I better not sell them because they could come knock on my door any minute! Listen slick. Not everyone's as dumb as you look. You can build/manufacture 10 a year without any license. I digress, I build for me, not to sell. I happen to be somewhat eccentric so for every upper there's a lower lol. So after being gouged on that transfer I went out and sat in my car and called Triggers. They charge 25. So looks like I'll be going there from now on. Better prices and better selection. You also don't have to wait for them to finish talking to their friends to get waited on and to be made to feel like you're interrupting. Two Thumbs up! I think this is a great place, not stuffy with a bunch of know-it-alls, and not overpriced. I've come to enjoy being able to shoot a weapon without feeling like someone is constantly looking over my shoulder, or buying a firearm from a pro who isn't trying to sell something for the sake of a sale, but listening to my needs/wants. If you're looking for a fancy overpriced outfit then this isn't it, keep looking because there are plenty of those around, but if you want a comfortable easy going atmosphere with competitive prices and knowledgeable staff then this IS your place, give it a try. THE GOOD: Conveniently located if you need to use the barebones range. Acceptable pricing for range time. Friendly staff and apparently a new owner. Not having to deal with the previous owner is a big plus. THE BAD: Holster and accessory prices are high-ish. Ammo prices are bad. Handgun prices are crazy. Long gun prices are INSANE. There are rifles on those racks that have been there for 5+ years with the same dust covered price tags inflated by $600+ over market. OVERALL: Strictly a shooting range, wouldn't purchase anything without checking online. They're moving in the right direction with personnel but they should change the name and do a revamp to erase the damage done by the previous owners terrible attitude and customer service. read more

Once again went down to Mark's Guns again to enjoy a day of shooting, have been going there for years, I live in Cincinnati with a few places to shoot at locally, but each and everytime, I have visited one of these local places, I have had a bad experience. I think it is worth my time to travel down to Mark's, never crowded, I can take my time when instructing someone how to shoot, just an all around good experience. I want to thank Joe for always making my and others shooting experiences great. If you are a first time shooter and want to shoot without being harassed by range Nazis unless you're do something unsafe, this is a great place, I will be returning for years to come. read more

Several shooting lanes inside and reasonable after you purchase the membership for a few bucks. It's not heated so bring a jacket. Get ur ammo elsewhere it's expensive as are most new guns there. Unfortunately it's only range in the area. read more

Nice little shooting range-walked in no hassle, got my stuff and started shooting-Staff was friendly enough, wish I brought more $$$ and or ammo, ran out of ammo quick, so bring extra $$$ no debit. I was prepared from other reviews, I need not ask no questions anyway LOL, and was well dressed for warmth and comfortable, guess it is a hit and miss as far as crowds goes, I was the only one shooting, had the whole place to myself LOL. will return!! read more
