Anchor has been my go to barber shop since early 2021. They have always done a fantastic job and…read moreare skilled in their craft. No denying that. I would go as far to say Anchor is one of, if not, the best barber shop in Chattanooga. Until today. Mitchell reached out to me over Instagram and told me he will no longer cut my hair due to me "not tipping." Mind you, there are no signs inside or outside of the building or even on their website stating "Tipping is heavily encouraged." I'm in the mindset of charge what you think is a reflection of your craft and what is fair to you and me. If I can afford it I will give you my business. If not, no harm no foul and I will go elsewhere without distastefulness. This isn't the food service industry where they make $2/hr and rely on tips to make a living. I've been with Anchor when they were $23 per cut, $27 per cut, and now $30 per cut. No problem. It's worth it. I wish he could have at least reached out to me and told me his feelings on tipping before cutting me off completely. Attached is our conversation via Instagram and Facebook. Mitchell, I hate it had to end this way. I apologize that you feel like we couldn't have handled this differently.

Great Shop, Good Prices, Good Haircut!…read more We went in 2 men and a little baby to get the shagginess under control. Gordon took good care of us and was even patient with my son who was tired and not being good at sitting still. $15 for a man's haircut $12 for a child I believe that is what we paid. The Yelp address was not correct so I put in an edit that will hopefully go through since it brought us to a braid and weave shop across the street.

He did everything my husband asked. We will definitely go back.

The owner (who I had an appt with) received a score of 99 instead of 100 (for whatever reason). The owner spent my entire appt time arguing over that 1 point instead of attending to her client. The other stylists present spent their time laughing at every rude comment the owner said. After 25 minutes of watching this sh*t-show, I finally walked out. Don't waste your time with this place. I ended up at their competitor and have been much happier since.
