Marks and Spencer Simply Food is the only remaining store in the Stockport area, it is located next to Aldi on Commercial Road in Hazel Grove, a fairly small location but that's expected with it being a "Simply Food" location, from the outside the store looks welcoming (Although you should expect to queue), and there is a small number of parking spaces. Public transportation is also available, the 192 bus route is a couple of minutes walk away where you can go into Stockport town centre, or even onto Manchester Piccadilly.
I couldn't find everything which I was looking for in-store, the selection of meats was poor, although they did have a nice selection of Marks and Spencer ready meals, including my favourite Cottage Pie, the "Made Without Wheat" section was OK, it was good for a small store.
I do think the checkouts were a little awkward, they seemed to be queuing partway down the aisle, meaning certain fridges were blocked, this is quite common in many stores, but with Marks and Spencer being a little more high-end, you wouldn't really expect it here. The queues seemed to move super slowly too, both inside and outside of the store, doing more to promote their Mobile scanning and payment system and adding some self-service checkouts would really help.
