M&S Rickmansworth...ahh...you are the sole reason for my expanding waistline. Your tempting little food store and all the delights that lie within. I do long for the day when I do my entire weekly food shop here, wafting down the aisles with a loaded trolley and birkin or two in tow.
It's been here for years now, could maybe even do with modernising a bit, but I still love to shop and roam here, filling my basket with dine-in-for-£10, sushi, cans of cocktails (now come in four packs ladies) and peonies/tulips/stocks. I do also have a penchant for grazing at the 'samples' tables this store does so often and so well.
The staff are delightful, store well stocked, flower section smashes the larger Watford branch and the booze corner is wonderful. A wonderful booze corner, ahh, mother's daughter for sure. She introduced me to my love of M&S cocktails in a can at a young age and I have never looked back. I brought her here recently and made her acquaintance with the plastic wine filled glasses for picnics etc. We are now without debt to one another.
The car park is always full though which can egg me off at rapid speed but it is worth the wait. I once followed David Seaman and Martin Kemp around the store (separate occasions), replicating their purchases. Fabulous. read more
