It is a joy to live near by, open 365 days of the year, 8am to 10pm without fail. Organic vegetables, tomatoes bursting with colour and flavour. They have a large delicatessen where they have a large selection of olives, Halal meats and cheeses , and make their own Turkish bread on site too. It all has a lovely smell of when you walk in. They have absolutely everything that a Turksih Chef would need. My family shop here virtually everyday to get bread and other certain thing they might need for whatever is being cooked. For quantity, it is by no means competition for any large supermarket chains, but as for quality, it definitely is. It is a regular for me.

Always well stocked up, super fresh & great quality, and above all, a friendly atmosphere and wonderful, courteous customer service. A great new Manager & a fantastic Team of people super dedicated, competent, helpful, hard working and really really lovely. Open every day until 11pm, it offers all one needs just a few minutes away from the Bounds Green tube station. It has dairy products, fresh vegetables, household items and much more. In total: all you need for your home if you just want a good dinner and clean house. It is also located directly on the 221 bus route, giving it easy access to both Bounds Green and Wood Green as well as the surrounding areas.

You've probably seen Loon Fung in Chinatown, right in the middle of Gerrard Street, the largest Chinese supermarket there, complete with butcher and funky smells. Well, this is their larger and better store, right next to City Airport. It's a bugger to get to. Even if you have a car, the Crossrail works happening in its immediate vicinity have rendered Sat Nav systems a little bit useless as Factory Road now appears to be one way only. But perseverance pays off because you will literally be able to load your car up with all the stuff you can't buy elsewhere and not need to make this trip for another 3 months. There's free parking on site. A huge fruit and vegetable section, massive frozen section, you can buy industrial boxes of laundry detergent here (cheaper than at a mainstream supermarket.) A fishmonger, butcher and every single brand of soy sauce under the Sun. It's also possible to buy hotpot stoves/pots as well as as bamboo steamers and other kitchen objects popular in Far Eastern cuisine. It used to be a cash and carry which meant you needed a membership card to shop here. I've recently been told that I can get points on the card. No idea if it's still a cash and carry but it's worth getting a card for the loyalty points if you plan on being a frequent shopper.

This is one of your run-of-the-mill large Sainsbury's fully equipped with electricals, homeware, books, DVDs and clothes as well as all the usual malarky, aka food, drink, toiletries, cleaning products... you know the drill. This particular store also has a little Starbucks which I've never needed but it's nice to have the option, right? Always well stocked and one VERY friendly guy on the till who has served us twice now and is hilarious - always brightens up our BIG shop!

Wow is it wrong to love a Tesco? It probably is, but I live in an area that has teeny tiny…read moresupermarkets and this place seems so large for a London store. I weirdly found this Tesco a really entertaining way to kill a 40 minutes when stuck in Seven Sisters one evening. What I found brillo: 1. They have a nice selection of home wear and electronics - woo hoo when did Kenwood food processors get so cheap? 2. They stock lots of ugly clothes from F&F and you can waste at least 10 minutes looking through the sale items and agonising whether to buy weird furry jumpers. 3. Best of all is the super dooper giant world food section. It's a cornucopia of global produce, flowing with exotic foods from around the world. Often food from this section are strangely cheaper than buying the comparable product from a different area in store. For example coconut milk is way cheaper here than a few aisles down. You can get your Caribbean, your Indian, your Turkish, your Kosher or Polish on to name just a few of the many cuisines that they stock. We very much enjoyed the Polish chocolate snack section. I can heartily recommend the Alibi bar - an awesome coconut, wafer and caramel chocolate medley. I can only presume it is named Alibi because it is so delicious you might not be able to resist stealing it. Therefore needing an alibi. But I did pay for it honest, for an import it wasn't even that much £. In true Tesco tradition, the place does seem a bit ugly and depressive, and the staff weren't very friendly. All the served checkouts were closed so they push you towards the evil self service checkouts of doom - but despite all that, the amazing stock makes up for it and I wouldn't mind if they had one of these in my area (well if it didn't kill all the personality out of my local area that is).
