We had a very nice experience with Snelling who installed an AC unit, new water heater and ran a…read moregas line for a new range at our new (but old!) house. Quality work and people and the price for the package was extremely reasonable. Jordan, our sales guy, was simply amazing. He walked through our house with us to talk options, was very honest and told us what he thought we did (and didn't) need. Also, he scheduled the AC install just one day before a huge heat wave. ("Let me see if I can pull some strings to get this installed before it's too hot.") During install the electrician found that our furnace's transformer had blown. Jordan arranged for their "furnace whisperer" to come out that same afternoon to take a look, free of charge. It was fixed within 30 minutes. I will say that there was a wiring snafu with the AC unit, causing it to short the fuse a couple weeks after we got it. Jordan had given me his personal cell number, so I texted him with the issue and he sent someone out that same day (literally the 4th of July, a Saturday). The issue was resolved in just a few hours after the text. Would recommend Snelling in a minute. They were friendly, honest, and took care of us the entire way.

We were given a lot of important information and time to consider our decision as the cost was significant. I think the biggest concern I had about this company is that when we had to install the air conditioner later on when it was warmer, the technician that came out was incredibly rude to my husband when he pointed out a preference he was hoping for either the cement block placement. When we brought up our concerns directly to the sales rep, particularly the way he was treated him as a person of color. This company dismissed his experience and tried to justify it as something else. I would really encourage them to make sure their various staff who interact with customers (who pay thousands of dollars for their product) have a clear understanding of what quality customer service needs to be.

Very disappointed with our experience with Ductz of NE Metro St. Paul.We were referred by Vickie…read morefrom MN Mold and spoke directly with the owner, Terry, to schedule our appointment. During our call, he assured us that Ductz wasn't one of those companies that advertise a low price and then surprise customers with unexpected add-ons. We had only minor mold in our attic noted during inspection, and Terry confirmed that using Microbiocidin would be unnecessary and excessive for our situation. When the technicians arrived, they asked what needed to be done--which immediately concerned me. I had to ask if they had a work order to follow. After completing the air duct vacuuming, they casually mentioned that a "chemical smell" would fade in about 15-30 minutes. I was shocked--why was there a chemical smell at all? They had sprayed the ducts with chemicals, exactly what Terry told us would not be done.Within minutes, my nose started burning. I had to take my cats and step outside for fresh air. I called the company and spoke with Andy, who tried to reassure me that the chemicals were safe because "hospitals use them." That was not comforting--especially when the odor was so strong we couldn't stay inside our own home. The technicians themselves admitted that the smell was unusually strong because half of our heating system is radiant, meaning they used the same amount of product in half the usual airspace. One of them even said it could take 2-3 days for the smell to dissipate--completely different from the 15-30 minutes I was told earlier.Despite leaving windows open all day and night, my daughter coughed throughout the night from the lingering fumes. The experience was awful from start to finish.  I was also surprised that the technicians still planned to clean the dryer vent, even though I had confirmed with Terry during our phone call that this service wasn't necessary and should not be included on our invoice.  I would not recommend Ductz of NE Metro St. Paul to anyone--especially if you or your family have any chemical sensitivities or respiratory concerns.
