This is not a Bucky's franchise by any standard but for a small Texas coastal town a great little stop as the weather is HOT, HOT, HOT. I would feel comfortable bringing a small family here for a pitstop. There is another gas station in town that seems to be well-stocked and friendly there's not much here in the town as far as amenities so Lemur may be your best bet. They have a pretty hefty menu of burgers, appetizers, chicken, and pizza...definitely something for everyone. We went twice and tried the hamburger with tater tots and the pizza. Everything was pretty tasty! They have a small dining area in the back with a TV if you don't want to take your food to go. Sargent Country Store has everything from bait to shampoo to hardware. We got a tad 'lost' in the store trying to find the food area (walk in the door and make a right at the register). Everyone was nice and helpful with food suggestions. We'll definitely be back on our next trip!

It's probably not as enormous and spectacular as some of the ones that are built along the major highways in the really busy parts of Texas, but is still very much worth your time. Coming to Buc-ee's always makes me happy. My girlfriend likes it even more than I do, so you can say that we're both massive fans and will definitely be back here many times in the future. It's about one tenth the size of the major ones, it's how it all started. It's a piece of history. Not too far from Galveston, oh Galveston, as Glen Campbell would say.

Today the restroom was filthy. Floors not washed for days. Toilet paper out. Sink area dirty. And an employee "washed" their hands and left the restroom area as I was there! There's an idea that you check the cleanliness of the restroom before eating at a restaurant. This was so bad we elected not to buy the bbq sandwiches, pudding and tea we went in for. On the way out I mentioned how filthy the restroom was and that we decided not to but there. The gentleman asked... which one women or men. Women? Not my area. I looked toward one of the ladies including one with an assistant manager who had just been in there. She said I was just in there. Yes.... Well the floor is filthy, the toilet paper is out and the sink area is dirty. She didn't do a dang thing. She barely wetted her finger tips. And quickly dried them. I didn't even see her go for the soap. Gross! And she's handling my goods or preparing my food - not today! I've never seen this place looking that bad! Even at big rush times which it want busy at all when we were there.

And super practical electronic replacement bar to get your informed whether it's a gps system or headset system to keep you working on the road. 3 stars for the women's bathroom as far as cleaning and lack of bathroom supplies recommended for customer. Masks required, social distancing enforced, and staff is pleasant keeping busy. Just down the road in Wharton is a new Bucky's. But if you need a new GPS and head gear, this might be your stop.
