No one ever responded to the message. The phone number on google is wrong, the phone number that's super small on the website no one ever answered and it doesn't seem like it's meant to even be answered by a human. It just had a generic voicemail and then cuts off. So I drove out to see if they had the item. I arrived, no greeting from the only employee. I found the milk, and I went to pay. The cashier could have cared less I was standing in front of her. Never even said a word, just continued to have a personal phone conversation in Spanish the whole time and never once said hello, thank you, good bye. Nothing. Absolutely unacceptable in todays economy. I will not be back. I'll spend my hard earned money where they will at least acknowledge I'm a paying customer.

We ventured back inside the main part of the building thniking perhaps we missed something and nada... a few things here and there but nothing of interest. There are a couple of aisles of shelves with the obligatory local made jelly and such and line of coolers along the wall selling cold items that you can get at your local grocery store. Not sure how they stay in business or maybe I just came at the wrong time of the year. Maybe it will be better if you try it another time. Plenty of parking available.

Today you can find the Stuart Green Market on Sunday Mornings next to the St. Lucie River waterfront in historic downtown Stuart. All of the items must be handcrafted unlike the Ft. Pierce Green Market which is on Saturdays. It's also smaller than the Ft. Pierce market. Free parking was easy to find. Vendors were selling artisan crafts and handmade jewelry, produce, gourmet foods, and accessories. My favorite item was the Jeff Hinkley Copper Art wind chimes made out of copper, wood, and brass. I might have to go back for one of those. If you can't make it to the market, he also sells on Etsy. I also liked the wooden beach chair plant holders from Jimmy's Woodcrafts. After you shop the market you can listen to live music at the waterfront stage and wander the many unique shops and cafes in downtown Stuart.

Fort Pierce Farmers Market is bigger and also has more food vendors and is closer to the water with shade. Both are pretty nice markets in the area! I'm glad I was able to visit both of them while in town. I love the orchids vendor and the homemade purses vendor. My actual favorite one was the vendor who sold gluten free baked items but not for them baked items but the beach chairs that are actually plant holders. They have a band right next to the water from 1-4, so if you come around 12 or 1230 you can check that out too!

The owner lady, Diane, was marvelous in telling us all about her clean farming methods, companion crop planting, good stewardship of the earth, how she came to have this 40 (?) acre farm. The tour was very interesting and tasty, as she let us try the different greens that are grown there. After the tour, we settled down for a delightful lunch prepared by the chef from a nearby restaurant named Ellies Cafe (?). Started with Butternut squash soup, which I am not usually a fan of any squash soups, but it was great, served with a freshly baked crouton. Then we had a chicken breast with a wonderful sauce, and a bean salad, broccolini salad that was superb, and a tossed mixed green salad with watermelon radish. It was all so good, that I had to clean my plate... absolutely had to. After that, we were treated to a dessert of a 2 layer cake made with fresh raspberries and strawberries and a whip cream like frosting. All the components of our lunch (except maybe the chicken, I think) were grown at KaiKai Farms. Before we left, we had a chance to purchase some fresh produce and local honey that they also have. I prepared the broccolini the next night and it was marvelous. The drive out to KaiKai is not too bad, I actually arrived there in less time than I thought. They have a farmers market every Saturday from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm. Definitely check out their website or facebook page as they have chef curated dinners (from local restaurants) scheduled that I am sure are well worth the drive. You can also have events like weddings and parties there. I will definitely go back.
