He was available on really short notice for a sunset cruise to Marker 1 in the Gulf of Mexico. Pretty ride, great conversation. A highlight of the weekend! Rained 29" on my short trip so no scalloping. Rescheduled but bad weather due to Hurricane Dorian so missed the season this year. Scheduled a quick visit for a Steinhatchee River nature tour upstream. The river is beautiful and the Captain is very friendly. It was a wonderful peaceful ride. Next time, I'll schedule a fishing trip!

On our earlier trip this season we used another marina but they didn't have any availability with led us to the River Club. There's a sign you pass heading out of the channel into the Gulf which says the River Club has the newest fleet. Let me say that the boats are gorgeous. Whether a skiff like we rented or a tritoon, everything looked great. The 24' skiff was immaculate (save some prop scuffing). The only nit about the boat is that I would have preferred a larger GPS display. When you're unfamiliar with the area (as are most people, I assume, in the rental business) the small screen made it more challenging to get a big picture of where you were with respect to landmarks. The staff was excellent. From Melinda in the front office to Kyle checking us out at the boat and everyone in between, the service was top notch. The Club is going to be making sweeping changes in growth. The cabins are growing from 15 to over 30. A new clubhouse is in the works along with other new additions. This is really going to be a cool spot to stay and I know we'll be making another trip back.

We left out of Loughman Lake Lodge which was a beautiful setting & I enjoyed sitting out on the deck of the restaurant eating while we were waiting to go & enjoyed a cold beverage after we got back... It was nice to go places that weren't used by bigger & more commercial operations, felt like it had a more personal touch, We saw gators & a few really big ones, lots of different types of birds my only regret is that we did the 1 hr tour & that went by quick so I would recommend doing at least the 2 hr if not longer if you want to really experience the waters less traveled... They have a campground onsite as well & I'm hoping to bring my camper next time I"m down this way & will be taking another ride to explore some different areas..

Twice burned. Will not return. We thought 2025 was honest mistake. Captain knew his fish guy was…read moreout of service that day but didn't tell the boat. We had to buy knives to clean catch. If he had told us beforehand we would have brought our hardware in lieu of rip off. 2026, fish guy was at dock but refused to clean the catch. We walked away with 2 fish leaving remainder with the fill ins who screwed the boat over. We had 4 men, captain filled remaining 2. Those 2 were the problem. How did 2 invited guests manage to screw over 4 who owned the charter? What a scam. Many heated words were exchanged. Never again. We gave poor review on his social media but it was removed.
