Jamie did the photography for a wedding I was in back in 2008, and we had so much fun working with…read morehim, that I vowed to one day hire him for my own wedding. Well, almost exactly 5 years later, Jamie did the photography at my wedding as well, and I couldn't be happier that I hired him! We started by meeting with Jamie in his studio in Framingham, where he won my (now) husband over by offering him a Sam Adams while we watched a slideshow of his work. He gave us an information packet with his various packages and rates, and we went home and picked one and officially hired him the next day. We opted to add an engagement session to our package, since it was reasonably priced and we thought the practice would be good, since we're not used to having hundreds of pictures taken of us. I knew we picked the right man for the job when, at the end of our e-session, my (then) fiance said "That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be." I know that doesn't sound like much of a compliment, but coming from a guy with the attention span of a 5 year-old, that's a pretty good compliment after spending 2 hours having his picture taken! Jamie kept it light, fun, and non-traditional, and he totally embraced our idea of incorporating our kayaks into the shoot. Leading up to the wedding, Jamie was very good about helping me plan our schedule for pictures, and made sure he knew about everything that was going to happen that day. He showed up early to scope out the venue for ideas, and then set to work shooting our amazing photos for the next 9 hours. He did such an amazing job that we're having a very hard time going through and picking our our favorites for the wedding album he is also putting together for us. Throughout our time working with Jamie, he kept a light, fun attitude, and I could tell he genuinely loves what he does. We couldn't be happier with the final product, and thanks to Jamie, we will be able to cherish these memories captured in time forever!

The only thing that outshines his personality is his photography. We first met Jamie in his studio in Framingham. He was super friendly, gave us very clear rates for his time, and was willing to deviate from his set packages if we needed more of his time before or after the wedding. After seeing his gallery of photos we were set. Jamie doesn't do boring pictures. He really does bring a unique eye to some really fun shots. And the man made me look like a model, there's nothing better than that on your wedding day! At the wedding Jamie showed up at the church on time and had already scoped out the layout of the church for all of the best places for shoots. He was all over the place getting different shots of the ladies and the men getting ready, but never intrusive. And some of the posed shoots we did were just fun. We took pictures in the church's basketball court, in a stairwell, at the bubbler, and later on top of washing machines-- as well as the normal posed pics on the church steps with the family. And by far our favorite pics are the ones in the interesting locals. They came out brilliantly, we get compliments on our photos all the time. And like I said: I look like a model. When the time came for my husband and I to pick out photos for our wedding album, Jamie was beyond patient in helping us pick the right ones. And when my mother and father were late in picking out their photos, Jamie was immediate with his replies to their questions. The follow up care was amazing seeing as how we already had paid him. We liked Jamie so much that we've been reccing him to friends for engagement photos and their own weddings. We've seen the work that he's done at friends' weddings and they are all just as happy as we were with Jamie.

A month after our wedding, Michael Blanchard emailed me (not even a phone call!!!!) to tell me that he had LOST ALL OF OUR WEDDING PHOTOS. His hard drive crashed and he never backed our pictures up. Further, we paid him extra to cover the wedding with traditional film, and he simply reneged on that part of the contract. Needless to say, we were absolutely heartbroken. He obviously felt bad and he paid us back in full, but that was beside the point. Our wedding photos were all gone. :-( On top of it all, he made a weird comment about my half-Asian husband's Asian family...it was definitely a racially insensitive remark -- ridiculous and offensive. I would never trust him to do any photography and I would recommend that if you consider using him, keep looking. I think he needs to rethink his career. I hope he never gets another photography job again. He doesn't value contracts and he clearly doesn't take his photography gigs seriously. If he did, we would have our wedding photos.

To my delight, the photo booth ended up being the star of the show. I couldn't have been more pleased with my purchase. There was a steady stream of party goers eager to get their candid photos taken to document a fun night with friends and colleagues. And with their flat rate pricing, I was able to encourage people to use the photo booth as much as they wanted without worrying about extra fees. Not that they needed any encouragement the booth was slammed all night and till this day it's still a topic of conversation from the party attendees. The booth was top notch. Comfortable for two and with the privacy of the lush black curtains, I felt like a kid at the boardwalk arcade snapping a few timeless memories. This isn't your grandfather's photo booth though. Sure it prints out 2 photo strips within seconds of your pose, but it comes complete with large a color LCD display, video recording capabilities, email, and even the ability to post photos directly to facebook! This booth is first class. The booth alone was worth every penny, but what made the whole process a joy was the jovial owners of the company. From the very beginning of the transaction they were a joy to work with. They accommodated my schedule and needs, showed up early and left once the party had cleared out; even though they could have left earlier per our contract.
