Paperwork was a minimum and they took my vision insurance. The vision tech was nice and Dr. Mark Weidenfeld was very friendly. He explained any issues that he found during the exam and gave me sound recommendations for future treatments. The exam was professional as you would expect. I plan on using this clinic in the future for all of my eye exams. I also looked at the selection of eyewear and found it very good. I am still deciding on new glasses and I will update the review once I decided when or if I need new glasses since my prescription did not change and new glasses are option.

The Lufkin location has the worst person working there, a brute of an older woman. For your business' sake- Please keep an updated list of accepted insurance companies, and don't take it personal when a person, who is new in town, is asking for for glasses and for staff to verify the the customer's coverage. My money and I will seek better service.

I called with my eye emergency and was told to come right away, they'd get me in. The front desk gal was very helpful with the paperwork since I only had one good eye. I sat only a few minutes before I was called back for my initial assessment for eye pressure checks and such. Even that staff was friendly, kind, chatty and patient. I felt sooo silly about my eye injury, but she made it humorous. The eye numbing drops were spot on and such a relief! (If you have ever injured your eye, you know how crazy you can go because of those pesky brain signals). Afterwards, there is a secondary waiting room before an exam room opens up. I sat there for maybe 5 minutes before being guided back to a room. Another few questions and Dr. Berg walked in to help a girl out (me, I'm the girl that needed help). He was also patient, kept up the humor and was very practical and straightforward. He did a very thorough exam for a last minute appointment. He didn't stop until he corrected any possible irritant. He also sent me off with some free eye drop samples (they were a dream!) As I was heading out, even the billing gal was so lovely! I explained due to coinsurance, I don't have a copay and she just sent me on my way. No arguing. No "double checking." It was so lovely! This place has excellent service and staff! I was blown away with Dr. Berg's professionalism and down to earth attitude. This place will be my regular clinic from now on.

Not my previous experience or interaction with her, therefore I am reluctant to say, this is a normal interaction. Upon calling @1:30 pm, she asked for my mother, I explained, my mother was on her way to the facility to pick up the patient. Ms. Ann continued to say, my mother's name and each time, I stated, this is not my mother, she is EnRoute to the facility to pick up the patient. The 4th time she said, we called you (which was 5-minutes earlier 1:25pm) and we have been waithing outside for you to pick up the patient. I again, attempted to explain, "you spoke with my mother and she is on her way". Ms. Anne, then again said, "we have been waiting outside" waiting for you to get here. I responded, "ma'am, I am not the person you spoke with, you spoke with my mother, she is picking up the patient". Nothing else was said, she simply hung up the phone. Unnecessary, unprofessional, and very disappointing. 2:09 pm: Update, my mother just made it home with her friend. 1st, what was different with the process. As my mother waited to pick up her friend, each car that drove up to the facility, the volunteer walked out, car was identified and then the patient was brought out to the car, NOT WAITING OUTSIDE. I could assume alot, however, I will keep it simple. Not to mention, the 2nd person that called, my mother informed me, HE stated to my mother, He contacted me on MY Work number- my work is a 512#. So let's try it again, that is simply a lie. The bottom line is, the VOLUNTEER called as she was taking the patient outside for pickup. As other people arrived, no one was waiting outside, other than my mothers friend, as other patients were inside waiting until the designated driver in the identified vehicle arrived. Oh, failed to mention, when the volunteer called @ 1:25pm, my mother gave a descrtiption of her vehicle.

I was excited for the second pair of glasses free because I have never owned prescription sunglasses. The ladies were very helpful in picking out frames and quickly got my order in. In less than an hour I got the text that my glasses were ready. Excited to see again after my cataract surgery, I went quickly back to pick up my order. The sunglasses were great, but the progressive lenses were wrong. They worked hard to figure out a solution and ultimately realized that because of my recent surgery the measurement of the lens placement was wrong. They got right back on it and in less than an hour I had glasses that were beautiful and worked perfectly. I do think that their patience and willingness to care about the patient payed off. Howeveeeeeer...when I put my glasses on this morning, I was missing the nose piece. I could drive the 45 minutes back to Lufkin for them to fix it...and I'm sure they would, but I'm thinking of going to the dollar store and look for an eyeglass repair kit.

Post appointment, after having my eyes dilated, I was told that I needed some glasses and that the Optometrist would hand my prescription over to the eyeglasses team for processing. Being new to needing glasses, I had no idea I could take my prescription elsewhere. (Sorta shady) Also, with no assistance or guidance, I picked out frames while my eyes were still dilated. Took them to the counter and glasses were paid for and order. I was told that the glasses would be in after 5-7 days and it was double that. During the mean time, there was no communication letting me know the timeline for the glasses would change. My wife had to call multiple times to check. I'll probably cancel my follow-up and go elsewhere.

I have personal issues w/ Dr Smith down the road, so I just really don't generally go to the eye doctor. Maybe next time I'll try Wal Mart. Or Lufkin.

I had to wait several more weeks for them to send off them to put into my paid for frames they had all along. No apologies. Waist of money cause I still had trouble with lens. They told me I would get use to them. I did not and will not go back . The doctors and that part of business I will give a great review.

I'm fine with myself wearing a mask, but I will not put a mask on my 2 year old. He has had multiple surgeries recently, and has been seen at TCH on multiple occasions, and they don't even make him wear them. When I explained he was only 2 years old the lady said he can wait in the car while I pick his glasses up. That would be fine if I wasn't by myself. She said it wouldn't take that long, and he could sit in the car while I ran in and picked his glasses up. For her to even think it's ok for someone to leave a child in a vehicle unattended much less say it out loud is very unsettling. She is either not a parent, or doesn't care for her childs safety. It is also against the law for anyone to leave a child unattended in a vehicle no matter what the temperature is outside.

I have been going to another physician group for many years, where I never see the same person twice. I am glad I found Dr. Jew and will be returning. She was very pleasant, professional and thorough. She has been at this location more than 10 years and is well established in the community. As far as I know, she's the only physician at this office and that is a plus. This gets my 100% recommendation !

When I asked for a refund, I was told they would have to clear it with the home office, and a check would be issued. It took me a week of trying to get my refund, finally I reached out to TSO main headquarters, and was told that this TSO is a franchise, so the home office lie was just to delay giving my refund. I called again while I was out, again the lie was repeated, we haven't gotten the check from the home office, so I had to go to the TSO, and make a call in front of them to Mastercard explaining that i was getting the run around. Then the girl who had been lied, told me they close early. I said I;m not leaving, she finally went back to who ever owns this TSO and came back very mad and handed me my check, I sat in the parking lot and deposited it ASAP.
