I have purchased a lot from this company. The last two times I've had to deal with Duke and I must say he sure doesn't act like he gives a darn. This time he was really rude. When I went to look at the carpet he starts pulling big sample boards down with one hand because he had something in his other hand and couldn't be bothered or interested enough to put it down. He didn't even try to help with which carpet would be the best for my needs. I should have walked out. But, dummy me went ahead and picked one. I told him that a couple of the rooms of carpet I bought from him 6 years ago had matted terribly so I hoped he would take that into consideration for pricing since I would be replacing one of those rooms plus the living room and dining room that they put down before. When he came to measure he looked at the matted carpet and said NOTHING. He could care less. When my carpet came in and the guys showed up to put it down, they asked if I was told this job would take 1.5 days and I said no, but that's OK. But they never left til after 6pm. They were tired having been here since early morning. I asked why they stayed and finished and I was told well, they have to be somewhere else the next day. So, the next day I'm looking over everything and sweeping and discover that the metal strip that goes across the bathroom doorway to cover where the carpet meets the vinyl tile wasn't put back, it was laying under the vanity. Understandable that it got missed, it was a long day. But I also noticed that the edge of 2 of the tiles had been chipped. I just paid a large sum of money to have that whole bathroom remodeled in the last year. I wasn't going to raise a big ruckus about it because the strip would cover it and probably be ok. I was probably being nicer about it than I should have been. But, the strip needs to be put back to protect the edge of those tiles. I sure don't want them chipping worse. I went to see Duke that day. I told him what I needed & he just stands there with a look like "Why are you bothering me." He said he'd get ahold of them to come and take care of it. Well, 8 days later I had to go back to the store since you can't get anybody to answer the phone. This time Mike was there. What a difference! Nice, welcoming smile and asks what he can help me with. I tell him what's going on and he said he'd get Duke. Mike comes back around the corner and says Duke will send them over to take care of it. Duke had been within ear shot of my conversation with Mike. He didn't have the courtesy to even come out and speak to me. No apology, nothing. Well, that was Wednesday morning and this is Friday evening. Haven't seen or heard from anybody. So, what do you think? My years of loyalty and spending my money with K Carpet are over. I guess I'll be going somewhere else to get the other 2 bedrooms, kitchen & master bath done.

He knows the ins and outs of everything in there and made great recommendations for our house and situation! Very honest, asked how much we wanted to spend and stayed within those parameters. The gentleman that came out to measure was on time, very courteous and got it measured quickly and accurately so I could go and do what I needed to do that day! Scheduling installation was a breeze, we got scheduled much quicker than I expected! Nick and another gentleman came out to lay our carpet over the course of two different days. I cannot say enough good things about them! They are truly experts at what they do! They got our old carpet ripped up in lightening speed, new carpet laid precisely, cleaned up, very respectful of our house (left no messes, were very cautious of our walls and our furniture!) and just very nice! The experience was perfect from beginning to end! We love our new carpet and will be returning in a few weeks to purchase carpet for our basement!! Thanks again!

This behavior has probably gone on for a while but it may be that no one has been there to witness it. DO NOT allow this company into your home without supervision!!! KORKAN GRANITE when you read this and I know you will, be sure to take notes... 1) On the date of installation call before arriving and or have a set start time so your customers know when to expect you instead of all a sudden arriving at a mystery time 2) Be sure all employees poop before arriving at your customers house it is beyond unacceptable and disrespectful to take MULTIPLE dumps in your customers bathroom...like really??? What is wrong with you??? 3) Be sure all employees wear protective booties on their shoes because tromping around your customers house with your work boots on is??? Yep you guessed it UNACCEPTABLE!!! 4) When cutting holes in granite for cooktops or anything else bring a dust-less cutter or have a separate system that catches 99% of dust and if don't have something THEN BUY ONE!!! Its called running a business get the right tools to do the job. You're working in OCCUPIED spaces!!! Cutting GRANITE in someone's residence is already a bad idea but if you have to do it do it right!!! One box fan and one shop-vac that I could get from Big Lots is NOT acceptable. I don't expect zero dust, what I do expect is a little care and professionalism, leave the area like you found it, act like you've worked in a OCCUPIED space before. 5) If you plan on shooting plooms of granite dust everywhere then bring tape and plastic and plastic off OPENINGS to surrounding areas and other things that are important LIKE brand new APPLIANCES!!! I'm just beyond shocked and disappointed that this is what the service industry has become lately...DO BETTER I WILL NOT be a returning or a referring customer to this place. Hopefully they can correct the issues to the unbelievably, unprofessional installation process because that's an embarrassment.
