If you are seeking expert guidance, go no further! I received Mark Johnson's information on referral from a real estate agent. After an arduous loan process with a different lender, Mark Johnson took the time to review my information and provide his expertise. Given the booming real estate market, I know how valuable his time is. He spoke with me for thirty minutes or so, allowing me to address various issues with another lender. He alleviated several of my concerns. He is very professional, knowledgeable, communicative and friendly. Most importantly, he is honest. I can't speak highly enough. I will absolutely go to him in the future for lending. I trust my money would be in good hands. read more

The best loan officer in the business. He always answers your phone calls and is extremely prompt. He is our #1 pick.

Mark and his team got our loan approval through SO quickly and we got a good interest rate! Our sellers wanted the financing to be a sure thing and come through quickly - the very short escrow period was the only way we were able to beat a higher offer. Mark also took the time to answer all our questions...as first time buyers, we had a lot. Highly recommend. read more

Let's be honest, a lot of folks take great consideration in selecting a realtor. Yet, not many think about who their loan lender will be. If you're buying something as frighteningly expensive as a house...you ought to be vetting both parties with a fine toothed comb. It could be the difference in thousands of dollars in or out of your pocket. I'll gladly save you the pain of shopping around. Mark Johnson and Ben Boggs are simply exquisite at what they do. Mark personally called me every Tuesday to update me on my loan paperwork status, where we were in the process, and what my next steps were. He broke down this massive process into digestible bits that never once overwhelmed me. He went out of his way to get me a remarkably low interest rate and didn't stop trying until he got it. If you're anywhere on the Central Coast and you need a loan, let this be the only review you read before you end your search and call Mark and Ben. The Cornerstone team is utterly phenomenal from the receptionists to the loan officers. read more
