First of all, this group came recommended by my attorney, which was a plus, and I felt reassured and confident going into the long process of settling the estate with Brian. On day one Brian identified an important issue from my loved one's personal filing system that I wouldn't have recognized in a million years. Then, another item was recognized, which should have been caught earlier on by me, but -- being such as I am, I just didn't catch it, but Brian did. Yet another item was put to rights as we came closer to winding up the business of the estate. I just wanted to know if I had any responsibilities as to what my uncle's last requests involving me were. The attorney decided I wanted to know if I inherited anything. Things would have been so much easier if he had simply stated that I was not in the will, although he had my name and address from my uncle. I guess, he is used to people who want to inherit something when they call. My recommendation to the attorney, when someone is saying responsibility and not saying what do I get, listen and ask questions before deciding on your answer. I am relieved that the responsibilities I was told I had by my uncle are not in the will that is now in probate and I can go on with my life not worrying about what I have no control over because he did not follow through on what he said he was doing.
