As a mother who has watched her son struggle with addiction for years, I can honestly say that Next…read moreStep Recovery has given me something I had almost stopped allowing myself to feel--hope. When my son moved into Next Step Recovery, I left without him. As a mother, that was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. After years of watching addiction take pieces of my son away, I honestly didn't know what the future would hold. Today, I can say something I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to say again: I have my son back. This is the first sober living home where my son has stayed for more than a few days, and I truly believe the caring and supportive people at Next Step Recovery have made a tremendous difference. From the very beginning, David, the Director of Operations, has been incredibly kind, caring, and accommodating. He has listened to me ramble, answered my questions, and never made me feel like I was a bother. As a worried parent, having someone who genuinely listens and communicates with you means more than I can explain. Chris was also wonderful from the very beginning. He met us at the house that same day to give us a tour, answered all of our questions, and was so kind and helpful throughout the process. That first experience gave us a great feeling about Next Step Recovery. The staff have continued to be caring, understanding, compassionate, and accommodating. When an issue has come up, they have been quick to communicate, listen, and work toward a resolution. The open communication has given me a tremendous sense of reassurance as a parent. The home itself is beautiful, comfortable, and welcoming, with a beautiful kitchen that truly gives it a feeling of home. I also appreciate the weekly in-house meetings and the convenient location close to grocery stores and other shopping. Recovery is a journey, and I know there may still be challenges ahead. But after years of addiction, having my son taking steps toward a healthier and better life is something I will never take for granted. I am forever grateful to Next Step Recovery, David, Chris, and the entire staff for the care and support they have given my son and our family. I left that day without my son. Today, I feel like I have my son back. And for that, I will always be grateful.

She had difficulty verifying my insurance and told me my date of birth was incorrect on my insurance database. I verified my information was correct with my insurance company. I asked Anna if she could check a different insurance card because my company had just switched over and I got a new card. Ana was extremely rude and unprofessional in her email to me. She basically told me that I could be a cash patient and that she's done checking my insurance. It's really frustrating as a patient to know your insurance company has your information correct but the Dr.'s office is saying it's not correct. I don't want to do business with this company anymore if this is how the staff/ office lead is treating people.

This caused me tremendous stress after recently receiving a diagnosis for breast cancer. On top of that the Dr. was dismissive with my concerns for side effects with my diabetes and refused to consider treatment to address those issues. Luckily my Primary transferred me to Dr. Otis. The staff immediately jumped on things and helped me get all paperwork and tests sorted. When I met Dr. Otis she was friendly, patient, answered all my questions, laughed with me and helped me feel like I had a trusted professional who was going to be pro-active and fight to get me the treatment I needed to survive Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). She pushed to get answers and asked her staff to fit me in so I could get the chemo quickly since I had been put off so long by the other dr's office I transferred from. If you are in need of an oncologist I recommend Dr. Otis and her team. The office was clean, all the staff I met were friendly and upbeat and very willing to help out.
