Suffered from a mild ear/sinus infection before being treated by a local urgent care "physician" at AFC orange beach urgent care. The man was busy I guess, but he almost cost me my hearing in right ear. He prescribed the wrong antibiotic so the ear pain and infection got horribly worse. I know for sure he meant no harm, was a nice man, but I'll never ever see him again. We live in Houston, but are blessed to stay in our home on OBA 4 months per year. Know several docs in mobile from college and was referred to dr harrison by several. Harrison immediately diagnosed my problem, provided steroid shot and prescribed great antibiotics. 24 hours later my horrific ear pain is completely gone, I am already regaining some hearing and I've no more fever or sleepless nights God bless this physician. Regretfully this doc Harrison whom is an ENT seems to get confused with a an eye doctor at the same practice that shares a similar name. This other doc harrison does not receive the same high grades the ENT doc harrison gets. Don't get them confused. I may drive back to Mobile from Houston to see doc harrison if I ever need a great ENT for a serious issue. I am one month out from having sinus surgery and very thankful for Dr. Harrison and his office staff for the results of this difficult surgery. Highly recommend for those struggling with sinus/allergy/headache issues. Dr. Harrison is an incredible doctor and his office staff are professional and friendly and truly care about each patient. Due to modern techniques, the surgery resulted in no swelling, no bruising, and no packing. I always dreaded this type of surgery due to horrible stories from others in the past so I was not looking forward to major reconstructive surgery from a birth defect for which made me a mouth-breather all my life. Recovery (full recovery was less than 3 weeks) was not as horrible as I anticipated, though it is crucial to flush the nose & keep it moist OFTEN during post surgery. Strong advice to others...follow the doctor's orders precisely and the recovery will go much smoother as the sinuses heal. I was able to breath better day after surgery even with internal splints (which were removed 3 days later) than i have in quite some time. I am looking forward to being able to breath more effectively as time goes on and to drastically reduce being sick. read more

Dr. Harrison was very kind and sympathetic throughout the process. I had surgery a little over a month ago and after 10 or so years of not really being able to breathe through my nose it was amazing. There are some after effects, but nothing you wouldn't expect from having your sinuses operated on. He answered every question I had with confidence and honesty. I would recommend him to anyone. The recovery is pretty rough for the first week, but that's why they give you pain meds. I'm glad that I had the surgery and it has accomplished the goals the doctor and I discussed before the surgery. I had sinus surgery with Dr. Harrison and It was the best decision I have ever made!! I could barely get any air through my nostrils before surgery and was getting sinus headaches a lot. After surgery I can now breath through my nose and I very rarely get headaches (and when I do, I'm sure it's due to stress instead of sinus). I always had to mouth breath at night before surgery and now I can actually breath through my nose at night while sleeping. The surgery itself was nothing like some had said, definitely NOT the most painful surgery ever! I was up and going by day 3. Ear infection is my second adventure through Dr. j. Mark Harrison and he is a genius! Not only does he make you feel comfortable when you're petrified, he works you in, moves you through quickly and delivers a clear and thorough diagnosis.
