For reference, here is the timeline. - In April, I came into the office in person to confirm all of my tax information. - By the end of April, my husband submitted all of his required information to the office. - I did not hear back from the office again until the end of May. - I then returned the signed Form 8879 to the employee, understanding that this authorized e-filing of our return on May 28th. - June 1st, employee stated she will go forward with the e-filing. - Today, August 5th, I learned from me checking IRS that nothing was filed. Upon calling the front desk, I learned that the return had, in fact, not been filed until the day that I called. BUT THEN I got a penalty. Asked for them to pay me. Front desk guy said Mr Yi is busy and won't be able to write me a check for a while. what does that even mean?? Also, throughout this entire process, he hasn't done the common courtesy to call me and apologize for that huge mess up his company did and instead communicate communicated to me via his front desk representative You clearly is a young guy who honestly sounds like he doesn't know what he's doing or the entire company is doing.
