Nice place for a short walk through a forest. I saw a sign on a tree that says it's 120 years old! Apparently there are more signs but I didn't catch them. Nice to know that some of the oldest trees in Ontario are at this park. Went on October 11, 2021 for fall leaves, around half the forest has changed colour, mostly yellow and then red. Lots of leaves in the ground.
Good for elderly or children it's fairly short and easy to walk though. A couple of benches throughout and signs with information and maps. You won't get lost! There's a smaller loop and a longer loop (around 30 min walk).
Parking lot is small but lots of cars in and out due to how small the park is. Parking is paid - $3 for 2 hours, $6.25 for 4 hours, ~$11.25 for full day. If you're just dropping by for a quick walk, 2 hours is more than enough time.
There is a shelter next to the parking lot and lots of tables to sit at. Outdoor bathroom available.
Recommend dropping by if you're in the area or crossing by. read more
