She is knowledgeable, responsive and personable. I admire how she handles my questions in such a calm and composed way which I know can be challenging sometimes since I handle clients in my own career. The Google spreadsheet with the breakdown of our finances and things for us to consider in the short and long term was also great and something we will absolutely be using in the future to track our assets. We're now left with very little time to find a replacement and we'll probably lose a lot of money as a result of this surprise from them. Facts: we agreed to work together at the start of this year. They shared a portal for us to upload docs into. It took us a few weeks to get started uploading those docs but we're still within their purported time-frame in mid-February. We had some access issues that, for myself, they fixed; that was not fixed for my wife and we had to bug them several times in the last week before our scheduled tax prep meeting. My wife is a realtor and her business tax filings and our personal tax filings have always been difficult to sort out in a timely manner. Ming has been a great team to help us sort out tax season without the stress. But where Ming and his team really shine is how they help us manage our accounting needs for the business and our personal investments. Ming and his team have been incredibly helpful in organizing our expenses, managing payroll, and providing valuable tax strategies. Ming is very detail oriented and he's able to catch when we've made oversights. For example, one year, he was able to spot that there were two tax forms accidentally missing in our submission when he compared it to the prior year's submission. Ming continually keeps up with changes in the tax code, advising us on options that are now available that may possibly benefit both our personal filings as well as my wife's real estate business. We also like the app that he uses to allow us to review documents, upload documents, and send us notifications in a secure and centralized way. Thanks to their expertise, we've been able to maximize tax strategies and optimize our finances both for our personal finances and for my wife's business. He's incredibly thorough and detail-oriented - he double and even triple checks everything to make sure your return is accurate and that he has all the right information. He's also very responsive and flexible with scheduling, which has made it easy to fit tax meetings around a busy workday. Chris really shines with more complex situations. He specializes in startups and equity compensation (ISOs, RSUs, etc.), as well as investment portfolios, so if you work at a startup or have a more complicated tax situation, you're in great hands. He takes the time to walk through everything, explains complex issues clearly, and makes the whole process feel much less stressful. This firm went from exceptional to completely unprofessional overnight…read more I stayed with them for years solely because of Sam, who provided outstanding service. After the ownership change, it's clear that level of care is gone. What replaced it is a rigid, impersonal system that treats clients like transactions rather than relationships. They failed to notify clients of a major policy change regarding tax extensions until just days before the deadline--putting me at risk of non-compliance. When I raised concerns, their response was essentially: "This is our policy now, and if you don't like it, go somewhere else." No accountability. No attempt to fix the situation. No access to leadership. Just scripted responses from a support team. For a firm that benefited from years of loyalty and referrals, this is an incredibly poor way to treat clients. Avoid. UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO OWNER : Your response proves my point. After years of automatically handling my extensions, you changed the process right before a deadline, offered no real support, and told me to pay $240 or figure it out myself. Had I not followed up, I could have been penalized -- and now you're trying to turn it around and frame it as my fault by calling me "not engaged." After years of loyalty and referrals, this wasn't a transition -- it was a downgrade to a transactional model.

I am very disappointed that these issues were blamed entirely on the system, with no acknowledgment or apology. She actually told me to take it as savings! I am talking about thousands of dollars that I overpaid the IRS. I knew something was wrong, and I asked her to triple-check them. She did, and she couldn't find the mistake until I called the IRS, and they told me I have 3 years to file an amendment and get my tax credit back. On top of that, we had to file twice for the 2025 taxes, and on the second time she didn't include the payment plan! I ended up doing everything myself online and calling the IRS many times to solve this. I will find someone else to prepare my taxes next year! They do not want to reimburse for the services!!!! Always check your taxes! Hi Jim, That is not how it happened, and I have the amendment here with me. Even the IRS lady suggested that I find another tax preparer. You can call me anytime; instead, you hung up the phone on me today. Apologize, and give me my money back for those 2 years. I am extremely dissapointed of how this has been handled. I am the one who needs to wait now 16 weeks to get back my thousands of dollars from 2024 and 2025 because your system made an error, and I caught it a year later! Money that I should've never paid in the first place, and I could've spent on things I need instead of paying with credit cards plus their interest! Does everyone notice how they are asking other people to write 5-star reviews after this bad review 4 days ago!!!! Instead, they could've handled my situation more professionally instead of just saying to take it as savings money! An apology and my refund is all I was asking, and I think that's the least they should've done. I mean, it is thousands of dollars! I am still paying tax money thats is owe to the IRS until they review the amendment in 4 months.
