Mike, Mike, Mike! We cannot recommend him enough, and it's a testament to his expertise and care…read morethat we've worked with him for not one--but two home purchases! First, he helped us find and buy our very first townhome, and six years later, he guided us to our dream primary residence. What makes Mike truly exceptional is not just his depth of knowledge in real estate, but also his expertise as a lender. He took the time to ensure we understood every aspect of our loan--not just the numbers, but the strategy behind choosing the right terms for our long-term goals. Beyond that, he helped us think outside the typical inspection process, connecting us with specialists so we had a complete and well-rounded understanding of the home before making such a big decision. Mike is remarkably patient, always available (even for early-morning calls or late-night questions), and his approach is refreshingly thorough and considerate. He doesn't just want to close a deal--he genuinely cares that his clients make smart, well-informed choices. If you're looking for someone who is as knowledgeable as they come and has an unmatched commitment to your best interests, Mike is as patient, caring, and knowledgeable as they come.

I had the worst experience dealing with Kenny Simpson and his team. I am a self-employed person,…read moreand he said that he specializes in cases like mine. The whole reason I went with a broker like him was because I don't have the time to deal with mortgage lenders directly. He ended up taking more than 4 months to get me a loan. The first lender couldn't give me the loan because they didn't specify the exact way in which I make money. The second one turned out to be someone who was too small to be able to make it. The third lender was finally able to make it but only a much smaller amount than expected and Kenny's team wanted the fees for the whole original amount. At each and every step, there was total confusion and I ended up giving so many documents and so many letters. Stay away unless you have a very straight forward scenario.

I was so discouraged from being told "No" so many times by other lenders that I didn't think anyone could help me. Chris gave us a plan to improve our credit and make our file stronger. He never made me feel like it was an impossible goal. Not only did he work hard to get us pre-approved but for the exact amount we needed. Chris also represented us in purchasing the home and was an absolute rockstar throughout the whole process from offer to inspection, to handling unexpected appraisal issues, underwriting - he was on top of it all, a true professional. He never once made me feel bad for asking a million questions and reassured me when I was nervous about the unknowns. Without Chris and BlueBOLT our dream of owning a home in San Diego would have never happened. We are so grateful for all they did and HIGHLY recommend Chris and the BlueBOLT team to anyone looking to purchase a home.

I first contacted them in late July after her passing and followed their instructions to mail the required documents. Despite sending the packages to the address provided, I was later told nothing was received. Over the next month I emailed and called several times, but responses were slow, sometimes taking several days if at all, and the information provided was often incomplete. Each time I thought I was making progress, they would never respond to confirm it. After weeks of delays I decided to drive from Los Angeles to their Mission Valley location in San Diego to resolve the matter in person. When I arrived I was told I still needed additional documents. This was especially frustrating because I had emailed the day before to confirm everything was in order and was not informed of this. The only positive part of this experience was working with Tron at the Mission Valley branch. He went above and beyond, even staying after his shift ended to help me complete everything. He was empathetic, efficient, and made sure I left with the situation resolved. I want to acknowledge him by name because his professionalism and compassion stood out compared to the challenges I faced with member services. Overall I would caution others who need to handle account transfers after a family member's passing. Be prepared for delays, lack of communication, and missing information. Unless you go in person, expect a long and frustrating process.
