I went in the other day with two shirts and a shirt dress. I asked if they did pressing as I don't like ironing.The items were clean but wrinkled. She said yes and then something strange happened when she was counting the items. She said she wasn't going to do it. I asked why and she said she had the right to refuse. I asked her what happened and she just said no, I won't do this. I suggested she dryclean them then but she didn't care. There was a customer behind me and i asked 'what's going on here?' I had a very similar "Seinfeld Moment" to one of the other raters. Having driven by their location many times per week and seeing the large sign outside that advertises "1 hr service" I figured that they would charge a premium for the one hr service and having put off my dry-cleaning too long decided it made sense for me to pay extra. When I went in and asked for the one hr service the lady behind the counter snorted and said "We don't do that" and quoted me 8hrs to get it back. When i asked why it said 1hr on her sign she said "That means we clean laundry on site". When I asked for clarification as to what that meant she said "Take your dry-cleaning and go somewhere else" she then turned and walked into the back of the shop and left me standing at the front counter. I was left stunned, holding my dry-cleaning and wondering what had just happened. Needless to say I will not be returning. read more

Just so readers don't think that my previous review is biased, my daughter made the mistake of walking in looking for 1) A repair of the zipper of her winter coat and 2) cleaning of said coat. The owner was so aggressive accusing her of bring the jacket in so that the zipper would fall apart and that my daughter would then demand that the cleaning be done for free. So instead of taking the opportunity to upsell her, the owner essentially chased her out of the store. Please explain to me how this business keeps its doors open? Or are they so inept they can only take the easiest of tasks (i.e. a lightly soiled shirt, no repairs, no starch)? Stay clear unless you like being treated like dirt. (FYI, there's a really nice older couple who own/run a dry cleaners/clothing repair shop on the Kingston Road strip. They bend over backwards to make you feel welcome and insure you know they appreciate your business). As for Mark 1, they deserve a negative rating....alas there isn't that option. read more

My wife took a 1 week old fall coat in for dry cleaning because a bird pooped on the sleeve. She was told to pick it up 2 days later. When she picked it up she noticed a sticky substance on the inside of the hood. When she inquired about this the guy said that it was "some sticker." When she pressed about them fixing this, he reluctantly said ok. The next day my wife picked up the coat and noticed new whitish stains on the inside of the hood and the back of the coat and the zippers were all scratched up and discoloured. Needless to say, the coat came out in much worse shape than it was when it went in. Clearly the people who run the business do not know what they are doing. I would not trust them to clean any of my clothes. read more

Dealt with them before;pricey but ok.This time a brought a down coat in for cleaning=$33.00.I phoned them to ask for no perfumed sprays on it and the woman went hysterical and told me to pick up the coat.I went back and picked it up and told her she "was very rude to customers".She laughed!Never ever go back there!I am in Toronto beaches lol read more

Amazing place! I used its services several times and never had an issue. Fast, efficient and with great rates.

I don't normally write reviews as I am a busy mom with three little ones, but the repulsive treatment that I received at this dry cleaner was so bad, that I felt obligated to share my experience. I walked in asking if they hand wash any of the clothing and the owner immediately started yelling and attacking me saying that I don't understand the basics of dry cleaning if I ask such a question and that I don't deserve her business. I tried to explain to her that I was simply asking a question and she started screaming at me and telling me to get out! She is the most offensive, unprofessional, and rude business owner that I have ever met in my life and I have no idea how they manage to stay in business for so long when they treat customers this way. It was an absolutely repulsive experience and I certainly hope this review with deter others from walking into their shop and getting yelled at for no obvious reasons! read more

I attempted to take my two piece suit this afternoon to get dry cleaned at this location. The lady behind the counter hastily looked at my suit and told me that I would need to get it hemmed before she could clean it. I told told her it's okay just clean it anyway. She got visibly upset, told me to leave and left me standing at the counter while she went in the back. I waited a few moments and tried to get her to explain why I would need to get it hemmed and then asked her if she would do it if I would cover the cost. She refused to explain anything to me and told me to take my dry cleaning elsewhere. The entire interaction was rude and unprofessional. I will not return and would not recommended anyone do business with this person. read more

I recommend people to avoid this place. I made the mistake of pointing out a burnt button on shirt I had cleaned here. It was already fixed actually (I did it myself in a hotel room!). I just wanted Mark1 to note it and to take more care in the future. The owner, you can recognize her as a late 40's early 50's Asian woman, immediately started yelling that the button must have been burnt at a different dry cleaner. She looked up the last time I was in and derived that theory (I just dont do much dry cleaning!). I tried to explain to her I just wanted Mark1 to be more careful and that I wasnt asking them for any kind of refund or repair, she just yelled louder. I asked her to stop yelling at me over a button please, AND then there was the Seinfeld moment, she said get out she won't do my dry cleaning. I was stupefied and left looking for the hidden cameras, waiting for a reality TV host to jump out and start laughing. Nope, the owner just has a screw loose. The other shop owners nearby confirmed that for me when I told them the story, and that they have heard many complaints about this woman and her anger issues. End result, you can't trust Mark1 to repair or compensate you for anything they damage, they are most likely to run you out of the place if you raise any concerns at all. And I was the model of calm and politeness, the fact I was giving them a second chance shows my patience in the first place.
