Catfish Po boy

Stopped here for lunch, we ordered the hushpuppies with the fish dip. The hushpuppies were over fried put still good. The fish dip was excellent, it had large pieces of fish in it with picked onion on the top. I ordered the catfish po boy with fries. It did not disappoint! It was really good. My husband got the lobster roll, he was eating before I could get a pic. He said it was excellent. Definitely would return to try more.

Ceviche appetizer with house made hot sauce. Very good.

This was our first time at Maritime. My husband and I were craving fresh oysters and heard this place had good specials. Unfortunately we didn't come on Monday when they have the $1 oyster specials. We ordered 18 oysters, 1 appetizer and 4 drinks and our bill was over $120. The oysters seemed fresh but they were small and just ok. Drinks were expensive and just ok. The service was great and everyone was very friendly just not impressed with the vibe of the place. Maybe some live music would help. The best thing we had was the ceviche appetizer and the house homemade hot sauce. We may try again but it will definitely be on a Monday for the specials.

Dirty martini $6 happy hour!

The food was absolutely phenomenal! My new favorite restaurant in Polk county! Great happy hour from 2:30-5pm daily. Amazing daily specials. We came for Polk county taco week and I was definitely not disappointed. Started with the crab Rangoon dip... soooo good. Wonton chips were fresh and warm. The fried fish tacos were the best I've ever had. The owner, Miguel, came out and introduced himself. He said the chef makes homemade beer batter daily. My wife has the burger and loved it!!! Drinks were great. I had a dirty martini and prickly pear martini. Both were $6 on happy hour. Ambience is beautiful. Light and bright. Fun and friendly staff. We will be back weekly!!!!

Great food, great vibes, great service. We arrived here and loved the simplistic vibes. The food was amazing we started with some oysters and fries. The fries are hand cut and are delicious ask for their house made ranch! Then I got the poke nachos were hands down the best I've ever had. I also got an old fashion for happy hour. Will be back again when we're in the area to try more food. It was so good.

My first time here and it was amazing and I'll definitely be coming back. We got the crab Rangoon dip as an appetizer, sooooo yummy! The fish (salmon and mahi-mahi) were cooked to perfection and were so tasty. Our waitress (I can't remember her name ) was amazing very helpful and super bubbly. I highly recommend coming here if you like seafood!

Shrimp & Grits -Special flavors & textures with Blackened Shrimp, Pimiento Cheese Grits, Eggs, Sausage, Corn & Grilled Tomatoes.

My wife and I enjoyed the Saturday Brunch at the Maritime restaurant newly located in the Bowen Yard restaurant complex. The complex has a vast variety of food types, some with no internal seating where people eat in the yard area or some like Maritime have casual internal and external seating. We tried the "Maritime Fry Up" with Two eggs any style, Bacon, Andouille Sausage, Fried Green Tomatoes, Pimento Cheese Grits with Sourdough Toast and in-house Apple Butter Spread, $15, The grits were very special particularly with the Andouille Sausage and Fried Green Totatoes. This is a must try dish and only seems to be on the Brunch Menu. Our other dish was the "Shrimp and Grits": Blackened Shrimp, Kielbasa Sausage, Pimento Cheese Grits, Charred Tomatoes and Corn, with Sunny Side Eggs and Scallions $19. It was a wonderful combination of textures and flavors. The blackened shrimp had the right spice level blended with the wonderful pimiento cheese grits. The shrimp were a little dry/over grilled for my taste but still worth a try when you have the brunch menu. Our server, Cecily, was timely, pleasant and gave excellent recommendations on our food choices to make sure we tried the dishes that were only available on the brunch menu. The atmosphere was pleasant with a very long bar down one wall with college football games playing on two TVs behind the bar and with casual tables spread around the restaurant with views of the Bowen Yard. The patrons were somewhat upscale with some "girl's day out" groups. The staff was courteous and relatively young. Prices were medium high but reflected the quality of the food. Desserts looked good but we decided to get hand crafted ice cream across the yard. "We're Coasting Now" and will definitely be back to try the lobster rolls and special dip appetizers.

Crab Rangoon Dip
Ronee A.

I like this place. The food is good and the vibe is casual but classy. They have a really great happy hour menu with drinks and food. The drinks are perfect. I really love the crab Rangoon dip and the presentation is so cute. I am not big on fried, but my partner always gets the fish sand which and loves it. I always try something different and have not been disappointed so far. Last time I tried the poke nachos which I've only ever tried at yard house. It was a little different with the pineapple which I was not the biggest fan of but overall I enjoyed the meal and I liked the little peppers a lot. The service is always quick and friendly too.

Was not expecting to find something like this on our trip to Legoland. We live in Atlanta and love…read morefine dining; this could easily compete with some of our favorite restaurants for the food, ambiance, prices, and service. Everything was great.

I visited this quaint establishment when I was celebrating my parent's anniversary. Upon arrival I…read moredid miss the parking lot because the drive way into the lot is pretty small but managed to quickly turn around and park on the gravel lot. The outside patio is beautifully decorated with lights, tables and chairs and greenery with foliage to create that natural outdoor vibe. When you enter, it's like walking into a small home where you greeted and seated by a hostess or server. There's a main great room and 2 smaller rooms that have seating as well and ambiance lighting throughout for intimate gatherings. The bathrooms are clean and fully stocked with necessities. As for the food, I got the Brussel sprouts salad without goat cheese which was delicious . It was about the size of my fist for $13. I assumed it was more of a tasting menu. My mother got the gnocchi which was described as delicious but lukewarm in temperature. She loved the beet salad however and the side of sour dough bread. My dad got a 13oz steak with potato purée. His steak was good in flavor however he described it as a bit too tough, and could have been more tender. Since he is a retired chef of 40 years I value his input. My other family members ordered the egg yolk ravioli which seemed a bit of a strange combination but certainly worked out in flavor. The labneh that was with the beet salad was also paired and eaten with the sourdough bread which seemed to be a great idea. Unfortunately the bolognese pasta was not tender enough for my family's liking. If you like pasta that way then you should be just fine. Over all it was fine dining and good. If you would like to go to a place where the portions are a bit larger I would suggest another place. But this is a nice casual dining intimate place for any special small occasion. Last but not least, Beth our server was kind and sweet. She was patient and very accommodating with great table manner and should certainly be recognized for her gracious nature and hospitality.

We accidentally ended up at Ovation Bistro thanks to our GPS choosing chaos... and honestly, I hope…read moreit continues to mislead me like this forever. The second we walked in, the smell hit me like, "Cancel your goals. You live here now." Smoky, delicious, slightly illegal levels of good. We were greeted and seated by a super nice guy who said, "Patrick will be right with you." Two minutes later... Patrick shows up. Five minutes later... Patrick brings drinks. Ten minutes later... Patrick brings food. At some point I leaned over to Ross and whispered, "Where is the original guy?? Did Patrick eat him??" Nope. SAME MAN. Sir is host, server, possibly chef, and I'm 90% sure he rotated the earth slightly to speed up our service. Patrick sold me on the Prime Rib sandwich like a seasoned car salesman and I folded immediately. Ross got the loaded smokehouse sandwich because he likes to pretend he makes responsible decisions. The food came out fast and looking disrespectfully good. I blacked out somewhere between bite one and "I should stop." I did not stop. I have no regrets. My diet has filed a missing persons report. And let's circle back to Patrick--this man has the energy of three employees, a double espresso, and unresolved childhood dreams. I want whatever he's having. I would follow him into battle... or at least back for dessert. As The Terminator once said, "I'll be back." Mostly because I found out Patrick works Wednesday-Saturday... and apparently those are now my "nutritional delusion" days. Would 100% trust my GPS to ruin my plans again.

Food: excellent! Had the grilled chicken sandwich which was great. Burger, same. Fries. STUPENDOUS!…read moreI don't know what they put on them, but they were great. Ambience: we ate outside as we had our pups. Nice space. Service: pretty good considering. Our waitress was alone. ALONE. I'm not blaming her for slow service, but management for not providing her with enough back up. Please give her help. Otherwise this would have been a solid 5.
