While on a recent trip to Cancun, I wanted to try some of the local seafood from the city. After…read morereceiving a recommendation about Pescaditos from both locals and tourists, I had to give it a try. The restaurant is conveniently located a short walk from Mercado 28 with plenty of treats and souvenirs. Service was friendly and spoke English, so I never felt pressured to speak in broken Spanish. The menu was also conveniently printed in both English and Spanish, and the prices were very reasonable. I ended up ordering the fish tacos, the beer-battered shrimp, and the fish and shrimp ceviche. The beer-battered shrimp was made with large, juicy shrimp coated in the crispy batter. The ceviche was very fresh without any scents of fishiness. The serving sizes of all the plates were very generous. The highlight of the meal would have to be the fried fish tacos. I was expecting battered fish fried and served on a corn tortilla; however, Pescaditos takes it to the next level. The fish is cut into bite-sized pieces with their salsa and deep-fried in the taco shell, making for a crunchy taco with a juicy interior. It's definitely unique and a meal that I will remember.
Pros: Fast, friendly service and very accessible for English-speakers. Menus and staff are able to communicate in English. Portions and prices are very reasonable, and the food itself is very fresh.
Cons: None
