Then, allow the friendly staff to bring as many items from the menu as you can handle. Come with a group so you can share. An absolute must is the whole fish done à la Contramar, one side of the split fish coated in a punchy parsley sauce and the other in a red adobo rub. Served with flour tortillas (which are refillable) and black bean dip, you'll be instructed how to compose perfect bites. Then, choose your own adventure! We also had both the 4 piece each shrimp tostadas and tuna tostadas. Radically different so getting both doesn't duplicate. The pasta (spaghettini) with clams was buttery and garlicky and the pasta was surprisingly not overcooked. Biggest surprise was the grilled soft shell crabs (with corn tortillas). They came pre cut then reassembled so it was easy to pick them up and pop them in your mouth. The grill flavor was fantastic and we were all impressed. We finished with a slice of coconut cake which was like a caramel coated macaroon. Perfect! Large wine list by the glass and bottle, many cocktails, sangria and beer to choose from. Definitely a place to visit when in Mexico City. Sorry for the lack of photos-- we forgot because we dove into each dish (we were hungry and they looked so good)! Got one good one though...

Stumbled upon this spot and discovered it was a Michelin guide recommendation. We didn't have a…read morereservation, but we managed to snag a table around lunch time. Loved the open kitchen environment, so you could really see the work they put into the dishes. The interior of the restaurant is stunning -- a mix of industrial + rustic that somehow worked perfectly together. I noticed a bunch of reviews complaining about the service, but our servers were rather pleasant to us. We decided to try some: TOSTADA DE PANZA ATUN and TARTAR: The tuna belly tostada is an absolute must order. Best bang for your buck because they really loaded on the tuna belly. It was buttery and melted in your mouth. The tartar tostada was also very delicious and the sweetness of the avocado balanced out the flavors. CEVICHE DE CARRETA: The presentation was lovely and the server encouraged us to take a pic before we mixed the seafood into the sauce. The sauce was divine and every piece of seafood was fresh tasting. Could not get over how sweet the avocados were too! The blue corn tostada complementing this was one of the freshest tasting tostada we had this whole trip. Luckily they refilled our tostada basket constantly, because we were going through these like nothing. OSTION KUMAMOTO and CENIZA: Incredibly fresh! I believe most of their oysters are from Baja California or Baja California Sur. The oysters had a very subtle brine to it, but also very sweet and creamy. Actually loved the ponzu sauce more than a standard vinaigrette. CAMARONES FRITO: I'm usually pretty particular with my fried shrimps, but my god these were delicious! Somehow the shrimps were fried so well that the shell blended seamlessly with the meat. These were served with two types of sauces: a garlic aioli and ponzu. Both paired very nicely with the shrimp -- the ponzu being my favorite. This was the perfect amount for my party of 2. After experiencing the quality of food and atmosphere, I get why they're a Michelin guide recommendation. Campobaja turned out to be our favorite meal of this entire trip and had us running back to our friends to tell them about it. Would definitely return!

My bf and I stopped on on New Year Day 2025 for an early dinner. There were not that many places…read moreopened on NYD since it is a national holiday in Mexico, and most places opened were all booked or crowded, we opted for Fisher's, located in el Centro and was close to our hotel. Fisher's is located on ground level of the Hampton's Inn, right across from Garabatos. And they both share the common restroom at this building. Which, by the way, they locked every stall when I was there and only 1 stall was opened. Service was super friendly and we liked our server lady a lot! She was really nice and explained the menu well and tried to talked to me in English to explain the menu for me. We ordered a few items, the blue crab tostada, seafood soup and the grilled seabass plate that our server lady really recommended. I think the grilled sea-bass plate, which was under their specialty grilled section, was overpriced and just AOKAY. Normally even in the US, the main entry would come with some sides. But the big price for their grilled seafood plate is literally just for the fish and any side you want, it costs extra. I dont think it was worth it at all. For the seafood soup they brought out 3 types of season flavors, one of it included vodka. It was alright... My 3 stars - probably 2-3 stars, mostly for the atmosphere and service. They played a good song list and the place was pretty clean, Otherwise, I would skip.

That's where the quick service stopped. When we were reviewing the menu, we noticed that at least 3 other tables were seated and drink orders taken. After that, we seem to have been forgotten. They took a bit of time getting back to our section and taking our orders. I'm a pretty patient person, but it just seemed like they were either understaffed or just taking their sweet time getting back to each of the tables that had just been seated. It almost seemed like that all wandered off and took long breaks between the times that they came and checked on their sections. The water, soda, and cocktails came pretty quickly, along with tostadas and crackers came quickly, but the appetizers took awhile to get to us. The scallops/octopus cooked with garlic were delicious. The spring rolls/wraps were also very tasty. The shrimp cocktail was delicious and flavorful and full of shrimp. The portion was honestly bigger than expected. The flavors of everything were honestly pretty good and the guacamole was very filling. We had a hard time finishing this one. Honestly, it was all good, but the service was just so so. I just didn't feel like I was valued as a customer since they were taking their time getting back to us--in a manner that made us feel like they forgot about us. Ok spot, good in a pinch if you don't want to leave the hotel. Otherwise, there are definitely a lot more options in the area.
