I'm a fan of this place but I don't think my group of friends were. We walked in and we're immediately impressed by the fish tank filled with super sized crabs and lobsters. Unfortunately, lobster and crabs were $$$ so we didn't get those. We started the meal off with the octopus salad and Azorean limpets. The octopus salad was tender and delicious but slightly over salted. The grilled limpets here were much better here than at another restaurant we went to. For one, they were 10 times the size of the other place. Cooked in butter, oil, and garlic, limpets remind me of escargot. I'm a huge fan of them but my friends didn't care for them as much. For the main course, I got the fresh catch of the day. The waitress brought me to the front and let me pick which fish I wanted (they had about 5 different types to select from). The fish was halved and grilled. The fish was ok, no seasoning not even salt and pepper! My boyfriend ordered the wreck fish with pasta and it came in a cauldron of what looked like a Chef Boyardee creation. Another friend got fish and chips but barely ate it because he almost swallowed a bone. His gf got cod and barely ate that for the same reason. Let this be a warning, if you order fish here, be prepared to pick out bones! I'm going to give this place the benefit of the doubt and just say we probably just ordered the wrong things. read more
