Tortas ahogadas de camaron are the old new thing, and they are proliferating throughout the city. Members of our foraging party are quite partial to the shrimp tortas, so we came here.
They open at 1030a, we arrived at 11a. After ordering drinks we are informed they don't have tortas, and after re-directing our eyes to other parts of the extensive chili and seafood menu we are informed that we cannot order anything grilled as the grill is not on...
Venue is ok, large, they expect and cater to large crowds. It can get noisy, and staff are friendly, even if lacking clarity.
Long story short, we were served some tortas (after a longer, rather than shorter wait). These were ok, not mindblowing like their kin which made them famous... Return? Methinks not! read more
