I started with a glass of local wine which was relatively cheap but the drinks at this place were no bargain. We started with their peeled prawns in piri-piri sauce. The sauce was tasty but once again I was fooled by what they considered peeled in this part of the world. Messy. For my main I got the pork tenderloin braised in a port wine and onion sauce it was delicious but it took almost 45 minutes to prepare (so they claimed when we inquired on where our food was after a long wait). The side of fried potatoes was very good. My wife got the vegetable couscous which was not very exciting but she said "that's what I ordered". Service was good. Overall prices were reasonable but we noted that taxes were not built into prices like some restaurants...

Fresh catch daily , except Monday's when the restaurant closes. There is a comprehensive menu , however the fish and chips is always a favourite . Beautiful moist tasty fish which they serve in 3 portions . After one , you think that's quite small ,then they surprise you with another and the offer of yet again another, if you can eat it . The trick is to forego much of the chips and eat the fish alongside the most fresh tartare sauce . Fish kebabs alongside fish pie are again favourites but there is a comprehensive menu including veggie dishes . On a beautiful summer,s evening it is a privilege to sit outside and enjoy the view . Prices are moderate and there is a tapas / wine bar further along the prom you can visit as well. Call in if you make it to this neck of the woods, much to recommend here.

My brother and I split the fried shrimp in garlic sauce (they weren't actually fried) and I split the octopus rice with my cousin. Both were otherworldly The shrimp was subsumed in a garlicky, hot bowl of pure flavor and the shrimp were tender, fresh and tasty. I was digging my spoon through the sauce looking for remaining strands of garlic even after the shrimp was all gone The octopus rice came out in a massive bowl of scalding like soup. This too was incredibly flavorful and we downed the entire bowl which could have fed all four of us For desert I split a slice of Algorvean almond cake and espresso. The cake was delicious and not too sweet Our server was super sweet and gave great suggestions. This place is all about the food and stays true to the flavors of the Algorve. The restaurant was already nicely bustling with customers. Some seemed to be regulars. The decor was homely and cozy. My only issue is that the TV was on - I'm one of those that can't help but stare at a screen, so this was a little off putting. However, the food was GREAT, as was the service. They also do a smashing Irish coffee. House white wine was also a winner for me. Home cooking, great value, service and decor. 100% my Cabanas recommendation

For desert we asked for semi frio de bolacha which they served us bolo de bolacha. Really weird, but we didn't want to complain. When we got the bill we were charged for bread 2 butters and a sardine paste that we didn't eat nor touched. Mind you the food was absolutely delicious. The waiters are nice and attentive. We were served in no time even though they were busy. We might come back, but we will sure to ask for the orange complaint book if they pull this on us again!
