09/26/2026: My wife…read more& I booked the Yolo Traveller Golden Fox experience. Right as we boarded the train, the direction & guidance to our seats was pretty chaotic & a bit confusing. The staff didn't appear to have a system in place for order-taking so the waiters almost skipped over our table completely at the beginning of the journey. There's supposed to be champagne poured at the tables prior to your food arriving. When the staff finally brought out the champagne, it was quite warm. The food we ordered took a while to arrive at our table. Luckily, the alien themed cheese burger & fries were actually pretty decent & we enjoyed it. They didn't provide any napkins which seemed ridiculous since most of the menu items were greasier finger foods. My wife & I felt like we lucked out receiving our food when we did as there were several other tables that were still waiting a long time for their food to arrive. I overheard at least three different groups of guests complaining about either the food or drinks taking too long or being the complete wrong order. There was honestly a lot of idle time for a short 2-hour train ride & it really felt a bit boring at times with nothing to really do onboard. There were speakers throughout the different train carts, but the music kept cutting in & out with it mostly remaining off possibly due to connection issues to some staff members cell-phone or device. Finally, near the end of the experience, the staff brought us paper review cards to provide feedback to the ride, but they didn't pass out any writing utensils so we were unable to complete their review onboard. Overall, the staff seemed undertrained & there was a clear lack of leadership/structure from the management team. The service was not great, the setting & ambience was only okay, & the experience/activity itself was a bit dull. The one positive was that the specific food we ordered was decent. We won't be returning anytime soon & I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

The rental terms, costs, and return process were all explained clearly when receiving the vehicle. The cars were very clean and readily available at the designated pick-up time. I also appreciated that the associates took the time to walk around each vehicle to document its condition and any visible damage before departure. I was even able to drop off the rental cars after business hours. I simply parked the vehicles in the return line and dropped the keys in the drop box. Overall, the level of customer service and efficiency met expectations. I would definitely rent from Enterprise again.

Any preconceived ideas you have about the collaboration would probably be correct. When stuff goes wrong, Hertz blames Lyft and Lyft blames Hertz. I have rented vehicles for over 6 months at 500.00 a week to use and work on the Lyft platform. That equates to approx 2000.00 a month and unfortunately the overall customer service sucks. While there have been moments of above average service, the good does NOT make up for the bad. I could mention the 1000.00 refund I'm do for the vehicle that did not start for over a week. The multiple service calls were documented though their own cal center. I never got my refund and I couldn't the entire time I had that vehicle. So, not only, did I the lose the income for the week, I also had to pay for the rental. I could mention the numerous hours spent on the phone with both companies trying to rectify billing issues and maintenance on the cars. Hertz seems to follow a regular maintenance schedule, however, as a long term renter, the unwritten requirement is that I use my time and some cases my expertise to assist in keeping the cars on the road. Keep in mind there is no reimbursement for my time or the numerous cans of fix a flat or car battery I purchased to keep jump starting the car that would not start for a week. I could also mention the mountain of red tape around mostly in person renewals. Which brings me to my complaint today. I came in for my monthly in-person renewal and unfortunately the car needed an oil change, but instead of re-rentling the vehicle to me and allowing me to use a voucher to get the oil change done, as we've done for several months. I was told that the car could not be re-rented to because an oil change is due and there were are currently no other cars ready and available for my use. So, here I sit in the Hertz lobby with the time on my hands to tell my story. I wounder which is more costly to Hertz and hopefully Lyft, allowing me to leave with car and get the oil change done as I have in the past or the backlash from my review. If you know Tom Brady, please pass along this message (pun intended) his brand beyond football will forever be tarnished in my eyes.

I attempted to reserve one on multiple days and at multiple times, all of which appeared available. After waiting in line for roughly 30 minutes to speak with someone, I was informed that they do not have any mid‑sized trucks--nor any trucks at all. This is a blatant discrepancy between what Hertz advertises and what is actually offered. Accountability must return. These issues are not minor inconveniences--they are systemic failures that directly impact customer trust and loyalty.

The great thing about DSF is that they provide all the gear necessary for your catch. We were going out for Tuna as Bluefin are now found in the waters off the west coast, we were all pretty excited to go fishing. All we brought with us was food and drinks, having everything else included was a bonus. In the event we caught anything, they'll cut, clean, gill and give us fillets. The boat ride was awesome, no one got seasick thank goodness, there's ample seating inside and out. It was super foggy in the early morning, but cleared up by the time we started. I've not been on a fishing boat prior to this trip, and I was blown away at how scenic and beautiful the water was out there. The bright sunshine gave the water a super bright blue appearance, it was cool. Captain Kyle and his deckhand got everyone rigged up and ready to fish. The Captain is youthful and took his time answering questions and giving advice. His mixture of humor and knowledge of where the fish were was certainly a bonus because as soon as lines were in the water we heard, " Fish On!" That first Tuna took everyone on board including my son Parker to reel it in ( Posted Picture). What a freaking rush. It was exciting watching as everyone reeled something in on the boat. We laughed, joked and had such a fun day out on the water with friends. On our way back in to harbor the Captain pointed out several whale pods swimming around the boat, it was a trip seeing them jump. We enjoyed our lunch and talked about who caught the biggest tuna. In all honesty, that first one was the biggest in my book. I can't say enough great things about Captain Kyle and his Diamond Sport Fishing. Reservations were easy as charters go out practically daily either 1/2 or full days. The waters off of California are changing, getting warmer, they're seeing Bluefin Tuna and Marlin so who knows, maybe our next trip we'll catch something epic! Overall Impression: A+

I believe we would have gotten our boats limit, but there were a few kids enjoying the experience and were not paying too much attention to their poles, but that's OK. Few missed opportunities, but that's fishing. I know numbers can impact the reputation of the boat without really knowing the context. I will look exclusively to make a trip with Diamond or Lady K. Other boats that I have been on had arrogant deck hands and not so friendly captains.
