As an out of town seller, I felt it would be a good idea to use a realtor. That would prevent me…read morefrom having to show the property myself or drive 250 miles round trip to meet appraisers, inspectors, etc. I selected this office through a referral program. The person to whom the listing was referred handed the listing over to Andrea Frost. It took her 3 weeks to get my first name right (Victor, a hard name to remember) and lacked the desire to ensure that my last name was correct on documents. Because I brought the seller, Frost also represented the seller. That very first day, right out of the gates, she lost the seller's earnest deposit check. She frequently sent me documents for my wife and I to sign and then "drop" off at the office. With current technology available to sign documents electronically, a 250 mile round trip was completely unnecessary. Frost assumed that I had direct communications with the seller, I did not, she was a friend of a friend. I elected to use a realtor to handle those communications and Frost did not effectively perform that role. She did not meet the inspectors, appraisers, etc. She gave them the lock box code and let them have access, or I had to arrange for a relative to meet them. Since she did not meet the appraiser at the property, simple questions that could have been resolved on-the-spot required a revisit, costing the seller an additional money. When I had a relative meet them the second time, she stated that she did not want them to "interfere." It was MY property and I found this insulting. Communications with the lender and underwriter broke down, and no one was informed for over a week that we were ready to close. Frost called and asked if I talked to the title company. I was surprises, as I had not been told we could close. I'm not happy with Coldwell Banker for lining me up with this lazy, incompetent, and ineffective realtor.
