My mom rendered services from Mario's tint approximately five years ago. The tint has not held up at all and it looks horrible. She was given multiple business cards, had them do tint on multiple cars and has sent them a lot of referrals. When she had her windows done, she was told that if anything ever happens to come back and it would have a warranty as long as she had the car. She recently moved and had me take her car in. Upon calling the girl asked for the receipt. My mom said that she never received a receipt or a warranty paperwork like they say. The girl told me I could come in and she would write up a new warranty paperwork to get it covered after talking to my mom. I come by today to get the warranty paperwork written up like she said, and I am being told that they cannot honor the warranty. Then they try to say that the tent was done 10 to 15 years ago when it was not even in our possession that long ago. Then they try to say because my mom gave me the car they wouldn't honor the warranty anyway. All I know is this tent looks like shit. I would never get my tent done by them especially with quality work like this and with an unwillingness to fix what they did. My mom has no reason to lie, they Actually keep track of their warranties but are unwilling to go through their paperwork to find her paperwork. Going somewhere else for quality tinting. read more

We took our leased Vehicle to Mario's Tint, since the car is mainly driven at 4am for 15 min drive to the park and ride every day; it was brought to my attention when I drove the car into work that the tint not cover the entre exposed area of the windows. The very bottom is missing a strip. We were told to bring the car in to replace the tint, then they called to say they had a family emergency...with no follow-up appointment. Preffered Window Tinting... $225.00 3 to 4 hours.... no thnak you L.A. Tint Inc... $175.00 2 to 3 hours... still not goog enough for my wallet Marios Tint... $140.00 1 hour... Chaching! I had my 2 year old and wife with me. These guys are super nice! They put cartoons on for my daughter and offered us bottled water while we waited. Super helpful and patient when it came to my wife's undecided questioning about the darkness of the tint. Plus, start to finish they completed the job in about 40 minutes. There's an antique store across the street so you can hang spend some time there as well. $2 charge for using my credit card (not bad). $150 for everything.. I've had this shop tint several of my cars since 2008. They always do clean work, have a reasonable price, and I have never had problems with discoloration, bubbling, particles in the film, or peeling. They offer a lifetime warranty with the work and I have always saved my receipts but never needed bring the car back. Also, they do a great job with the nearly transparent UV film on the windshield which makes a HUGE difference on the dash in the summer. Since the Antelope Valley is like the surface of the sun I need all the help I can get! read more

Mario's was the the third try and took me as their last job of the day. He and his family were quick and the tint looked great and matched my rear windows on my F150 Supercrew. CHEAP SERVICE + CHEAP PRODUCT = Cheapest prices in AV! Mario Jr is nice... Minus all of the following: 1 star for knowledge about and suggestion of types of tints & comparable specs: I called Mario Jr. twice before bringing my mom's car in. I expressed which specs were most important to me for my mom: solar heat reduction in cabin and exterior true black look. I told him that my car had the 20% Johnson Marathon and that I was very happy with both specs noted above in my car, so he suggested the American Standard Excel. I consented... thinking he knew what he was talking about, without bothering to look up specs for myself in order to save time. ** Upon picking up the car, tint already looked a bit brownish, but I was hoping it was just the time of day, late afternoon sun setting in the fall/winter time. While driving the car home, the sun setting heat was already noticeable on my face, worse than the high noon heat in my car. The following illustrates how utterly NOT COMPARABLE the two tints in question are and makes one wonder why Mario ever suggested this to me. If they didn't work with a higher quality tint, then JUST SAY SO!: *** 20% American Standard Excel specs as follows: a. Dyed tint (lowest grade of tint, which explains why Marios offers lowest prices in AV) b. 39% heat reduction (but on skin feels like only 10% heat reduction) c. No glare reduction noted on website d. Visible light reflectance same as Marathon *** 20% Marathon specs are as follow: a. High Performance - hybrid metal/dye design rejects heat and reduces hazardous glare. b. 49% heat reduction (yet on skin feels like 90% heat reduction) c. 78% glare reduction d. 5% visible light reflectance e. True black exterior color; universal black shade matches closely with factory tinted windows 1 star for quotes over the phone: I told Mario Jr. the year, make and model of car and # of windows to be tinted. He quoted $150. After dropping car off, he called me and told me there'd be an extra $15 charge to install felt on 4 windows. Having been in tint industry for as long as they claim, he should have at least given a warning over the phone that this car year may have an additional fee as it may or may not already have felt on the window door panel. 1 star for professionalism: My appointment times was 8:30am so my mom and I could choose tint in person then be at work by 9:00am. -1st point: the address on yelp for Palmdale location at 38633 6th St. E. is not updated or correct. Luckily for Mario and unfortunately for us, the guy of another auto glass shop was nice enough to point us down the street to the right place. - 2nd point: their hours of business are opening at 8:30am, yet this place looked like an abandoned warehouse b/c no one was there when we arrived on time! So we had to call a sleepy Mario at 8:30am who said it would take 15min to arrive; we parked our cars and SAT and WAITED until someone arrived. If you open late as a tenant in the mall, the mall will fine the company $10,000+ b/c it's not professional and not good for business. No apologies were made, no recompense was offered. - 3rd point: no sign is visible from the street stating the name of the company as Mario's Tint. - 4th point: if you pay cash, they don't charge you statutory sales tax... That's actually not legal as a business that has physical operations presence in a state. - 5th point: if other reviews are true in stating that they do chargebacks of credit card transactions fees to customers, this is also illegal for businesses to do either! This is a reportable issue! - 6th point: due to adding felt, they had to unplug battery I'm guessing since they didn't tell me so radio needed a code before working again due to the anti-theft radio system, which they should either at least inform me of before driving away or resolve before I leave! - 7th point: I called the next day to express my concerns regarding type of tint and suggested a diff. American Standard type such as the ASWF Metallic whose specs more comparable to those of Marathon... and instead of offering a redo, they told me that I can bring my car in to have tint removed and refunded!! I drove 40miles and wasted 2.5 hours to waste gas for no tint at the end of the day. - 8th point: I said, "thank you" as we walked out and they didn't even reply! Rude! 1 star for quality of tint job: See pictures for several hairline short (1in.) and long (over 1in. In length) horizontal or length wise scratches to film installed on front passenger side... Very very unprofessional. $165 for scratched window tint! read more
